I too appreciate the video without music, which I feel spoils the occasion. Loved the video; looked like a bad day for flying... hot and bouncy? I am looking at buying a Starlet with no reg and no paperwork.. Ouch lol. Trying to find an L4 to sign it off will be the hard part. Currently at Portland, so not all that far from you Joey. Just wondering why you sold the CS? Have a good one mate.
I'm tempted to build a Corby, but they look pretty small. I'm a shade over 6' tall and 185lbs. Being that you had one, do you think is there enough room for me to fit? I've never seen one in person.
Hi Jeff, my plane was built by a guy about 1 ft shorter than me (I'm 5'11") and I still fit. I had to lower the seat but if you're going to build it yourself you'll have no problem fitting. I'm 80kg so about the same weight as you and I fit fine. When you build it yourself the plans allow the seatback to be moved rearward a couple of inches so no problems there. I'd say go for it, it's the best flying plane I've ever flown.
@@thirsty003 thanks so much for the reply and the input! I really appreciate it. It looks like a lot of fun fly. I keep finding VW 1600 engines everywhere really cheap in my area which is one reason the Corby interests me. I'm tempted to put a small, low pressure turbo on one just to make sure I've got enough power at lower RPM instead of winding a naturally aspirated one up real tight. I think this little plane is just the right size to operate out of our hay field comfortably.
