This clip really got to me. I did 10 hard years in Corcoran during the gladiator days and I don't remember this place. It did not exist then. Those days were the hardest days of my life and I'm sure for everyone else on the A and B yard during the 90's. But this clip made me feel good inside of my heart and my mind when I realize how I was then compared to the Man I've become today. I'm still that same one who walked the 4 yard with my boys...but I just choose to be peaceful now so I can enjoy the rest of my remaining life. @@F30586 if you lived on the main line then you would know what time it was. Anybody locked up is facing gladiator days and that's just that. But the gladiator days at corcoran is based out of the shu where the c/o's were setting up racial fights and betting money on it and that mostly were between the southern Hispanics and blacks or blacks and whites, but nonetheless, the shu is the shu and if you end up on the yard with other races other than your own car, then guess what? Then it was time to go at it
@@tn8163 no doubt doing time back then was different. I didn’t hit the system until I was 26, in 2005…level IV 270…paroled from a level 3. I did a 5 year term…was in The SHU after only 5 months on the mainline. I know what’s up…I also know that the Asians homies…The Others…got it easy.
served 40+ years csp and when i got out the televisions are now thin, computers in the home, mobile phones, freaky cable tv channels, most foods are in plastic containers, marijuana is openly used. With all that said, I have no regret for the crime beside the crime its self...
Damn it’s a trip seeing this on RU-vid instead of the institution channel. This is C-yard a level 3 SNY (Special Needs Yard) or “PC” yard at Old Corcoran or CSP. So starting in 2017-2018 when prop 57 passed they started implementing 50/50 yards where they basically housed “GP” inmates with the SNY or “PC” inmates. I pulled up in the green goose from reception in delano to old corcoran around 2017. I was housed in the old shu 4B4R. When I got to my house I had no celly but they were purposely trying to mix houses which was starting rumbles everyday. It got to a point where things started to die down after being on locdown for 8months. Showering every 3days was all we got. No commissary or paccages, jus that nasty ass state food lol Soon as we came off loccdown that’s when that dude “LOKITO” killed his celly by chopping his head off. It happened in the new shu which was the next yard over “4A”. We ended up going on loccdown again for like 3months or so while they took that time to sweep the prison like 3times smh WE FINALLY came off loccdown again & than Fucn COVID-19 happened around February 2019 🤦♂️. So when this happened they jus made the old shu into a new level 2 yard. Which was a first cuz CSP only had a LEVEL 1,3,4, firehouse & SHU at the time. Covid was both a blessing & a curse at the same time. The covid loccdowns were different. Literally 24hour loccdown a day it was something else I’ll tell you that. No tvs or reading material. You really had to keep your mental strong. We jus had the tv in the day room with no sound playing this basketball game all day. Around 6months into the covid locdown they came around telling us we needed “herd immunity” which was 85% of the yard to have the covid vaccine & they’ll be able to let us have our property & open program. So of course ppl including myself took the vaccine so we can get off locdown lol. Finally we got our property & my tv the first thing I watched was this basketball game & these interviews with the sound finally like fuc these mfs 😂, but now I look bac at things & wished I was there instead of stucc in that damn cell 23hours a day lol. Covid helped me tho because I was able to file a 602 grievance against Corcoran prison about the way they handled covid & the protocols they took that jeopardized my health & others as well. We had no cleaning supplies, no mask, no gloves, no medical attention. Shiiiit Gavin newsome seen it & signed it. I was home 6months after sending that letter. Sept, 7th. 2021 is when I came home & I am currently off parole. All glory to god. Wish nothing but peaceful thoughts & dreams to all my brothers & sisters doing time. My mans went in 2018, he was at delano too. He was in soledad during covid. That was some rough times, definitely was a diff kinda lockdown. How did your grievance letter get into newsom’s hands?? Where did you file it? Congrats
When I got to b yard in July 96 the gym was packed with bunks and inmates, I left in December 98 to Lancaster. Glad to see positivity in the faces of the inmates, Corcoran doing some good.👍
I personally wish each and every individual person the most amount of success possible. I know that they will do great things in life and will accomplish many feats.
my dad been down almost 20 years of a 25-L. he’s a good man and was put in situation that put him in prison. i always try to reach out to any pro bono lawyers that can help him get back in court. i promise his case is worth it.

In asia inmates have to work everyday, all day.Hard labor. Clearing undeveloped land with shovels, work on rice fields, do construction, clean up trash land, grow vegetables, farming...They dont get to lift weights in gym, play basketball like prison here

@@blushingfrieza there are certain crimes that are unforgivable and not able to be rehabilitated. That's Corcoran state pen. It has long been the final destination for California's worst of the worst. Were talking child rapists/killers, contract killers, mase murderers, even some domestic terrorists. And alot of those guys committed brutal violence while inside other prisons. That's how California runs their system. It's basically tiers and once you get to Corcoran, you can't be rehabilitated. So no, I don't agree with you. You'd have a good point if this was a minimum security work camp where drunk drivers and harmful yet not devastating crimes wind up. Big difference.

I would love to see these guys get around the mustang program where they get to handle train and start BLM mustangs for rehoming/adoption. Horses have a way of reaching people on a whole other level.

America has 4% of the worlds population and 25% of the prisoners. Sentences are too long and end up putting the public in more danger. Fuckin idiots like you shouting "let them rot" are the ones putting the public in danger because you want all punishment and no rehabilitation. Get a couple brain cells, put your head on straight and look at the long term consequences of what you ask for. Nordic prisons are cushy as fuck, sentences are short, and guess what? Barely any of those people go on to commit crimes again and nordic countries enjoy some of the lowest crime rates on earth. Do so fucking research.
