Personally, I think the who convenience of cordless is over exaggerated with some barbers. They act like the cord is some huge inconvenience/disadvantage. I mean, the client is still sitting in the chair, so it's a stationary position service regardless. I prefer corded in house, cordless on the go. They both have a purpose.

I recently brought out my corded clippers trying to revive the old school (21 year barber veteran) and boy did i remember really quickly how annoying corded clippers were. They do cut nicely though.

Just watched it and I must say your points are similar to mine… I have both corded and cordless you already know… I use cordless stuff for housecalls but my absolute without a doubt line up that I PREFER because I don’t recommend anything cordless to anyone is as follows 1.Oster 76 2. Andis Master 3.Wahl Senior (fade blade) 4. Andis GTX (Hitter) 5. Wahl Detailer (soft blade setting) 8 years using the same setup never let me down. I wholeheartedly recommend the tools listed above…. Anyway back to the video…. The fact that I can purchase an entire corded setup for under $300 versus 1 $300 cordless clippers is absolutely insane so that’s another reason why I don’t recommend cordless if you compare cost to performance and reliability you’re literally throwing your money away UNLESS****** you are strictly a Mobile Barber…. That makes it all the difference…. However…. If you’re in a shop you clearly have electricity so hey do what works for you I suppose but I’m not making a ton of passes using corded that was the biggest gripe of mine…. You gotta make sure the hair is prepped or it’ll cut patchy but shhhhit with my 76 detachable blades I’m plowing through unwashed dirty ass hair all day 15 minute cuts 😂😂😂 so yes it’s definitely some tools that you can use to save some time it’s just preference… I guess…. But another thing…. When you watch RU-vid videos and all the viral barbers they are rarely using corded equipment so that influences other folks to think “if it ain’t cordless it ain’t cool” 😂😂😂😂

Haven’t watched the video yet but I prefer corded because of precision RELIABILITY and accuracy. They not all loud and shit don’t gotta worry about them dying I don’t care about the cord getting in my way because I stand stationary on my anti fatigue mat…I’ll watch and stop back by the comments.

My corded Fast Feed is my main piece-I’m taking those into battle. Whenever the cut is important (person or upcoming event) I will always choose my FF. I do my best work with my FF even though I like using other clippers more. My cordless clippers are my side pieces, and I consider them fun to have and use from time to time. I guess I am hoping to find the perfect clipper that will replace my FF, but that just hasn’t happened yet. I sold my cordless Fast Feed because they were trash. I didn’t like the lever, the run time, or the weird color. Dope cuts and video, CTB.

I love the corded fast feeds, they just cut way too slow to use in a busy shop

Man!!!!!!. Thanks for this video.. I'm no pro. I only cut hair and a few friend. My corded masters and outliners need to be replaced. Everybody seem to be using cordless and so does Son who is a professional barber. I was looking into the TPOB set however, my old school heart is still with the corded set. After watching this video, I'm gonna stick with what I've been using the past 20 plus years. I'm just gonna get a new pair. Thanks Bruh. You hit on some good points. God bless.

My personal opinion won’t match to some but it’s true. Yes corded are quite, they stay quite but they have some weight on them I’m one of the few that the weight effected my wrist. Blade do get hot but that’s why you have to have more that one. The cords no matter what at the middle of the day all tangled up and I drop pull some . Out here at the end of the day we have to put away our clippers we can’t leave them out for next day or we will get fine what a hassle it was . Once cordless came out I noticed a difference in my routine I work more comfortable . I’ve had jrl for years and they remained quiet so I stick to cordless

A few thoughts on the video: speed wise the cord can impact you, and for me your American 2 pin plugs are not as sturdy as the three pin plugs we have in the UK, so when using my Masters or Seniors I'm always mindful I might yank out or loosen the plug so that does slow me down a little when meanouvering with the cord. If I'm using my UK Oster 606 Pro-Powers (the Euro fast feed equivalent) then I know I'm secure with the plug and can move at normal pace. I know it sounds picky but something as small as that does somehow impact my speed lol As for the RPMs, my USA Fast feeds has the same RPMs as my corded Masters and Seniors, seriously... and my Euro Oster 606 Pro-Power is 9000rpm, surpassing the Masters and Seniors. Cutting wise I'm not sure how RPMs really transfers into power, but as a pure measurement, the RPMs in the Osters are not lacking in any way For this matchup? I think the Andis corded liners get the nod, and they're smooth and irritation free for me. Boosted did fine, but it didn't far surpass the Andis, so that's why I give it to the Andis Clipper wise I'd have to give the nod to the cordless though as you chose probably the best cordless clipper out there. I mean I'm a corded guy myself and I'm not an OG barber at all, I only been cutting two years, but the JRL with it's low noise and smooth buttery cutting is a mean proposition. Out of all the cordless clippers I have used, I like how the JRLs and the Rebel/Boosted cuts more than any other cordless clipper. If this was the Oster VS any cordless clipper other than the JRL than I'd choose corded 100% of the time, but those JRLs man 🔥 Cordless clippers have reached a pinnacle now and they're super reliable compared to just a few years back. Don't get me wrong, I am still 100% team corded, but objectively speaking for the sake of comparison, you're spoilt for choice nowadays when it comes to good, reliable cordless clippers. JRL being the best of the lot IMO

I think there would be more love for corded if they were still being made. I haven't seen a new cordless clipper in a minute.
