On my Black and Decker old cordless drill, there are two ball bearings in some of the holes inside and none in the others, alternating. Not one in each. Then you don't need to sand the plastic.

Well done, my power drill has low and high options of speed. For some time time now its low power option works, switching to high power option starts sparks from the back of the drill and doesn't work properly to switch back to the low power option there is quiet a struggle( I guess gears doesn't align properly), can you suggest what could be wrong, I don't want to open the drill as may not be able to close it back and lose even the low power option...thanks in advance

As your said may be gears doesnt align properly or the teeth was broken of gears. i dont know exactly but may be your trigger transistor, motor brushes or motor winding was broken.

Just so everyone knows The motor gear has 9 teeth And the ring on the gearbox has 45 teeth Which means 5:1 So if 2 are stacked with the same ratio Its 25:1

So its 9 teeth motor 18 planet 46 ring So 5.11 each stage Meaning roughly 26:1 And the Motor has about 114 grams or 1/4 lbs of force And 30lbs is 480oz So the force goes up by about 115% With 2 sets of 5:1 planetary gears But to be realistic The motor probably has 1lbs of force And the gears make it go up to 26lbs Cause 100% doesnt sound realistic

I found this video very informative and very helpful but for people who want it a little bit slower you can always dump it down with the playback speed at .5.… I appreciate the no nonsense to the point informational video demonstrating exactly what to do. There’s no need for talking he wrote the important things on the screen just take your hand and take your drill and copy exactly what he did. You can even replay the video if you get lost

As a RU-vid you are I find you worthless as well. Go to the settings and change the playback speed to dumb it down to your level if you can’t keep up. It was very helpful and informative and shows you everything you need to know to do exactly what he did. What helpful RU-vid videos have you made curious
