Thank you for your efforts! You explain things every simple and I appreciate that so much! I'm a recent widow and live in a place where I don't know anyone or anyone I can trust so I'm learning to do things by myself now. Thank you and God bless!
Agree with you 100%. I started Core Aerating about 10 years ago and it's done wonders to my Lawn. I also do every other year followed by Jonathan Green Black Beauty Ultra Grass Seed and the yard is dark green and plush.
I’ll get a good core aeration this fall. Then get my backyard renovated as well. It’s fried right now, which is good less work for me this fall 😂😂😂. But I have been feeding the soil micronutrients so when it’s time the soil is ready. Good vid ❤
@@81carters I would indeed do my own lawn twice a year. However, I know for a fact that I could clean up rather nicely with some of the neighbors on my street. It's like a chain reaction. One person has the service done. The next thing we know 6 or 7 homes also have their lawns serviced as well.
Wouldn't be a bad idea to top dress after core aerating as well, so you're always introducing new soil into the holes and lawn. But it can be spendy and money is tight right now.
One year I'll aerate and overseed late summer and then late fall winterize the lawn by fertilizing and pre emergent. Next year I'll dethatch and overseed and winterize the lawn with fertilizer and pre emergent
I aerated once and didn't gather the cores like you said in the video. I dressed it with loam on top and was left with a very bumpy lawn. I think the cores never broke down and created mounds? Maybe the ground wasn't dry enough when I aerated? Did you get a bumpy lawn after aerating?
I was thinking of trying it again this fall but also thinking about renting a roller and roll out those cores so make sure they're flat. I'm so sad my lawn is bumpy. Takes the enjoyment out of mowing.
I have a irrigation system as well. I have used the machine before just make sure you mark were your heads are. If you hit one it will damage the head. The pipes will be fine
