Here's a sneak peek at what I'll show you:
First, you'll learn about the two different types of NavMesh's that can be found in the Core Editor. Not only that, but you'll learn the pros and cons of each one to help you identify which one will be the best for your project. A NavMesh is extremely useful when building a game with the Core RPG Framework.
Second, I'll show you a real-life example of setting up both NavMesh types and giving you a rundown of the settings you'll need to change to adapt each one to your project.
Finally, you'll learn about some gotchas with using a NavMesh to help make your AI respond exactly how you want them to in your game.
In short, if you plan to use AI in your game and want to make them just a bit "smarter" a NavMesh is exactly what you need.

*A few times I mentioned in the video that the NPC would jump off the NavMesh. This is only true if you have the NPC's set to ignore NavMesh if there is no other path. If you have the NPC's set to force use the NavMesh, they would instead get stuck, allowing players to kite them to a certain point and the NPC wouldn't be able to follow. It's important to remember to have a path for the NPC's if a player is able to get somewhere, to avoid both scenarios.

How do you set the NPCs to not be forced to use the navmesh? Im making an open world game with some small dungeons. I'd preferably have a navmesh for the dungeons and no navmesh in the overwhorld. I tried setting a navmesh for the whole map, but since it's too big my CORE crashes when I try to paste the info into the data store (and I have no idea how to import a notepad++ doc file into CORE if it's even possible). Or is there some easier solution for this?

I've noticed you have been making alot of videos in the RPG framework. I was wondering if you could possibly make a tutorial on the npc spawner in the rpg framework. I've been messing around with it and can't figure out how to connect a specific npc the spawner. I know there's the npc kit but the npc kit in the cc you have to set up alot of stuff to get weapons to work and knowing how to use the existing npc spawner in the rpg framework would save me alot of time.

I know what a navmesh is , what I need to know is how to get the AI to use the actual Navmesh rather than setting one up? is there a tutorial about that?

Hello how are you? Your videos have helped me a lot, I am very grateful to you. Would you like your help if you can, how to modify weapons in the core? As for example in RPG, I would like to introduce new weapons but whenever I put new weapons it does not cause damage to us NPCS, do you have any videos that could explain?

You'll have to add the DestructableWeaponServer script to any weapon you're wanting to use then update it. standardcombo(Gabe) the engineer that created the AI kit filmed a really good tutorial series: ru-vid.com/group/PLypj8hyU_Lh4ijMGMUQH_AUwKMvHhIoFq

Not sure if you respond to older videos but when i generate a nav mesh and copy and paste it in the code my core locks up....is it because its to big is it safer to do a bunch of little ones?

Yeah, possiably to large a Navmesh. Does it do this with a much smaller size?

I know this is an older post but I'm I've been working on my first game and it uses a lot of NPCs I've been staging the game by setting up all the Npcs and labeling them. My question is once I drop in the nav mesh will they automatically start reacting or will I have to go through and activate each NPC individually? Please help

Hello. Can you please tell me how I can get an npc/enemy like the "Raptor", for example, to be the one that collides with the triggers? Or to be the one that is teleported? I know how to have myself, the player, do both of those things, but every tutorial that I have seen always uses only "player" as the parameter, never anything else?

Download combat dependencies by total biscuit and follow the instructions in the script, as well as the NPC ai kit if you haven’t already
