This band shouldn't have quit. Vocalist is amazing. Instrumentals are top notch. Without a doubt they'd be huge today had they continued. So sad so many good bands just gave up in the 2000-2010 era.
It's mainly because the music industry stopped innovating and experimenting. A formula was made and that's all that popular music is now. It mostly sounds interchangeable.
They were basically just copying Deftones. This sounds really close to My Own Summer, the drums and rhythm of the guitar are near-identical. This song still rips, just explaining why they didn't get too big. They were just a tad too derivative.
I sometimes still play the first Smackdown vs Raw now in 2019 on my PS2. Best wrestling game ever (the one with Vince McMahon with a red eye and a blue eye). Very good soundtrack too...
+mobsdobs1 Hell Yeah. I actually think Day of Reckoning is alot better than a majority of the WWE wrestling games coming out now. The story line was actually immersive within the WWE UNIVERSE like how the SD vs. RAW franchise was. Now it seems like wrestling games work on everything else BUT a narrative within the story mode and it truly bums me out when I pay $60 for that bullshit! Lol sorry for my rant.

There was no way this wasn't going to be my CAW's theme in Day of Reckoning. That game was so awesome. The gameplay was a faster and more arcadey version of that sweet sweet AKI engine. I wish more games had continued to improve on the already great AKI engine.
This song will forever be my all time favorite to listen to. Just gives off that early 2000s feel that not many other songs give. Anyone know any songs that give off that vibe? My Way by Limp Bizkit is a song that gives off that feel to me.

Listening to these songs makes me miss the GC/PS2 gen. The music, the gameplay-- Day of Reckoning was one of the first games I beat as a kid, and I got legitimately fucking pumped when I reached the final few parts of the game. Especially the cutscene near the end where your CAW got in that intense fight with H3. I spent one of my christmas vacations as a kid playing DoR non-stop for two weeks, and still remember sitting in front of the TV playing it non-stop. That and playing SDvR 06 online? Talking with people about the latest Raw, making friends.. random off the wall CAW matches... man I remember one of the servers had a Rated RKO fanclub for a little bit. ;-; It's hard to go back to most of it now, mainly thanks to mechanical improvements games have made. Or, in 06's case, the online being completely dead. Have to decide though.. trade off soulless but vastly improved games (the new games) or what we had before?
+SuicidalImpulse WWE 2k16 is a very good improvement from prior entries to me. 2k17 will probably have an exceptional roster with people like AJ, Nakamura, Asuka, and Becky. It should also be great because I assume they'll just upgrade everything to be even better. Unlike with the later years of Yukes of THQ.
If what we had before was Wrestlemania 21 on the XBOX then I think I'll give it a pass. But damn it to hell Day of Reckoning was a decent GameCube wrestling game, looked much better than WM18 and WM19 and played nicely too.
Going to my local blockbuster each Friday night and renting the Wrestlemania 21 video game back in 2005. I remember playing career mode and getting revenge on Evolution and winning the undisputed champion.
It's a great song, but it's so funny to me that the devs of Smackdown vs Raw were like "y'know what'd go great with our pro wrestling video game? A song about a guy realizing he's been approaching his relationship from a place of selfishness"
