Omg she should make complaint about the dispatcher. He should be talking louder so she could of heard him better. He doesn't sound friendly. Poor woman.. RIP Cory ❤
I hope that dispatcher was fired. That was the most ridiculous 911 call I have ever heard and as someone who recently had to call 911 myself when my 2 year old daughter began to seize, the operators need to speak LOUD, CLEAR and be PRECISE in their directions.
When i found a relative of mine dead in the room, we called 911 and the didpatcher was very calm, spoke loudly but she was not monotoned. This guy was hard to hear, i cant imagine dealing with that while also panicking.
that guy on the phone was the worst, for Gods sake man, when someone is in a state of panic SPEAK UP and try not to sound bored out of your mind when someones life is on the line.
Craig Hynde this really really really makes me so sad that Cory haim died I grew up watching his movies I hate this life that we are living in I was born.in 1980 I wish I can go back
He shouldn't have died. Poor Haim... His mother after all that she just went through she still said thank you to the Dispatcher. How sad is that.. Lord!
Wow, that dispatcher sounds like he hates his job, and wishes he could be home sleeping, instead. What an a-hole! People like him shouldn't have such critical jobs.
When your son is is laying in front of you dead, how do they expect you to understand what the dispatcher is saying, and he is hard for me to understand...
This beings tears to my eyes. That poor mother dealing with such a terrible situation and nobody on the phone to help much. That dispatcher should be sued for negligence.
What a terrible dispatcher, I could barely understand what he was saying. He should have been speaking loud and clear and quick with his instructions. I feel sorry for anyone in desperate need of help and they get this guy on the line, they'll die before he finishes a sentence. He should have taken control of the situation, by being confident and assertive he could have helped Coreys mom to be calm and focused on performing cpr on her son to try to save his life. I'm sure it was already to late but she still needed to try. Clearly she's panicked and doesn't know what to do. My heart goes out to her and her family. Corey will always be a part of her and she will always have her memories to look back on. RIP Corey.
What if he could've been saved? Every second counts. The dispatcher was lazy, unemotional , unconcerned , nasty . He was being annoyed the poor mother's crying over her son.It broke my heart. This will keep me up tonight.
Poor Corey's Mom! 😭 Nothing can make any sense at a moment like that and then have mush mouth on the other end of the phone! He made the 911 call completely complicated and agonizingly difficult. SMH
She was with him...She said yes I am with him yes...He isn't breathing she said...She said no food or vomit was in his mouth...She found him in his room...She lived with him...
It should be a requirement that 911 operators speak English as their first language. This is America after all. Damn it! Then transfer to a operator that speaks another language if necessary. I'm a nurse and this pisses me off listening to this from a medical perspective!
@@spencerwong4464 Do your research before you comment so you don't make yourself look like a fool. Mr. Haim died in The United States of America in the state of California.
This makes me choke up listening to this. God dammit why don't the 911 dispatchers have a CLEAR voice that is easily understood?!!??? From Corey's medical history and now we know that he had an enlarged heart chances are she could not have helped him BUT so much time was wasted by not understanding what 911 kept saying. My god please if anything is to be learned from this, please screen the dispatchers better so they are CLEAR. This is NOT an attack on race etc, I don't care what your colour is or nationality, but to be in this business they should ALL speak clearly. So fucking sad. R.I.P sweet Corey, you were and still are greatly loved. Much love from another fellow 🇨🇦
How dare they hire someone who can't articulate basic EMS instructions! He didn't speak loud enough & was VERY hard to understand. Why wouldn't he immediately put someone else on the phone when he heard how dire this call was?
R.I.P. Corey ❤️ You were My 1980s Crush 💕Such a great Energetic Personality & So Cute! I’m So Sorry that those people in Hollywood hurt you as a child. May all of the truth come out! God Bless your Soul ⭐️
Oh my god, this is the first time I've heard this. The dispatcher was APPALLING. He sounded like a zombie or as if he'd just woken up out of a deep sleep. At times it was impossible to understand what he was even saying because his speech was so slurred. Towards the end of this clip Corey's mum even said, as she was sobbing, (at about 5.18) "You're supposed to be helping me." I'm sure Corey was beyond help at that stage but had he been able to be saved the fact that the dispatcher was so terribly inept and unfit to do the job could have cost him his life. I hope to god this awful dispatcher was fired from his job after this recording was publicized.
This dispatcher was terrible. Hurts to listen to this even after all these years after he has been gone. I always wanted to meet him. Totally wanted to know him. I had his pictures all over my room. There has never been another actor that I have wanted to know so personally as him. Absolutely loved him... Even if he was not an actor and was just a simple person like me and I could have met him. I know for a fact I would have fell in love with him anyway!! Just a simple country girl who always loved him... Always will... My heart still breaks for his Mother. 💔💔😢😢💌
poor Judy. No one wants to out live there child. so sad. you can so hear the pain in her voice. The reason why they have to talk in monotone is so they don't show feeling. after Judy said he is going cold. The dispatcher already knew he was gone. Taken to early. Corey you will be missed. Good night and rest in peace.
The dispatcher was being calm so as not to further alarm the woman. Trust me, this is nice and kind compared to some 911 calls I've heard on the internet.
OMFG it's been over 3 years now since he passed away, this is so fucking sad may you continue to rest in peace Corey so tragic..... As for the 911 guy he should be fired from his job he didn't give a fuck.......... So so sad........
This was so aweful to hear. I love corey haim but I hurt for his mother.... and the dispatcher was a fucking idiot and not fast enough or loud enough he died vefore she ever got on the phone. So so sad. R.I.P Corey Ian Haim. We will never forget you!
(11 guy needs ALOT more training, that was terrible. If you think someone is not breathing or dead, just give chest compressions keep pumping that blood to avoid brain damage, if the brain doesnt get blood it dies in less than 4 minutes, so at the very least start pumping the chest while the ambos are on their way, at least the person will have some chance of survival, better yet learn cpr and first aid.
I'm sorry, she never thought to BREATHE FOR HIM ONE TIME? He was TRYING TO BREATHE for Christ's sake! Screw the operator. He's useless. But the mom should have known to breathe for her son and to do compressions that aren't tantamount to "pressing" on his chest and screaming "what is going on? this is ridiculous! what is...I don't know what's going on!" Come on, Judy. Your son struggled with addiction half his life and you never thought to learn basic CPR or how to remain calm/purposeful in an emergency? Corey Haim should NOT be dead, but a MOUNTAIN OF PEOPLE - ADULTS NO LESS - FAILED HIM FOR YEARS AND YEARS. It's inexcusable.
This dispatcher had no sympathy in his voice. At times it sounded like he was getting frustrated with her. He needs to get another job (dept. collector perhaps) where you can raise your voice because the person on the other side of the line is not in total distress. 🤔
This poor distraught mom still had the With All to say thank you! Even after the 911 dispatcher couldn’t have cared less!! 😡 May god bless her and heal her broken heart! 😓😓
She was battling cancer at that time. I'm sure she was too weak to understand what was happening and be able to do CPR... God help US. Hopefully this would motivate US to do better, be present, and pray for one another. Because we never know what state we might be in. And be asked to do the same...🙏🏿
the cop on the phone sounds totally bored and listless and does not help her! he is totally lame instead of her decently help the poor woman .... Corey Ian Haim we will keep you forever in my memory and never forget you you were really great! rest in peace
OMG! This is so sad I'm bursting into tears listening to her pleading for her son to breath, this is too much! I feel for her, that was so terrifying for his mom just very sad and overwhelming! RIP Haimster
This dispatcher sounds like he doesn't give a sh*t about the situation. Yes, they stay calm, but this guy is awful. Who hires these jerks?? RIP Corey Haim. You were loved, though you didn't know it.
