he wanted to leave. his agent was boras who takes his clients to the highest bidder. texas offered him 10/325M and counting for CA state income taxes LA would have had to go 10/400M to match the texas deal. didn’t see LA coming anywhere close to 325M let alone 400M to keep him.

Even though he is gone. He still is making sure that the DODGERS stay who they are. He was raised here. So he gets interviewed and gets asks questions about certain players with the DODGERS. Freedman’s biggest mistake. Not resigning Corey was a huge mistake. Mookie is NOT the answer at SS. And PLEASE don’t give me the narrative that the Dodgers couldn’t sign/afford Seager. They just payed two players over a billion dollars. This interview proves he was clearly disappointed he didn’t get to re-sign as proven when he was asked and he said, “Let’s move on.”

Friedman you messed up man. Those 17 year old SS prospects better pan out man. If not SS position for the next decade will look bleak. Joendry Vargas, Albertus, maybe Freeland have a chance to be stars. But that’s for the future right now we are scrambling messing around with Betts at SS and it all ties back to letting Corey Seager walk. SMHHH
