The Los Angeles Dodgers came back from a 9-4 deficit with a huge 7-run inning, including a Jason Heyward grand slam, Shohei Ohtani RBI, and Teoscar Hernández home run.
They are the first team in AL/NL history to hit a grand slam and 3-run homer while trailing in the 9th or later in the same game.

The Rockies can’t walk the bases full and give up 7 runs in the 9th and then cry about 1 check swing call that didn’t go your way…right after the ump gave the Rockies a gift strike out by not giving Smith a time out. When you have a 5 run lead in the ninth, you have to eff up a lot more than having one pitch not called your way to lose.

Thanks for this entire 9th inning. This was the historical, incredible 7-run come back that I could never forget. Jason,Shohei, Teoscar, all keep their name in history. Boy, I loved this moment, so valuable. I have to keep it.

As a Rockies fan, this is the most shameful loss I’ve ever seen. It’s a testament to how atrocious our bullpen situation is. Sure, we could have won the game if the checked swing call went our way which is heart-wrenching, but we never should have been in that situation. Loading the bases with walks in the 9th inning with a 5 run lead is absolutely unacceptable at the major league level. The bullpen coach should be fired immediately and Tyler Kinley should not be allowed to pitch at the major league level

The amazing part about this game was that there were so _many_ Dodgers' fans in that stadium! And Dodgers' fans are always accused of "leaving games early," and that's a fair point, but in this case, it seems like the Rockies' fans were the ones who left early, as all I heard was Dodgers' fans chanting "Let's go Dodgers!" And every time they did something great, it sounded like they played this game in Chavez Ravine! GOOD STUFF.

All of this immediately after a check swing the Rockies wanted called a swing and a strike. What's that they say bout things going from bad to worse? Hey ... This Buds for you Coors field!

I swear I was on the phone with my buddy talking about being down by 5 and how the stat just came onto the screen explaining to him that the commentary team has been talking about his streak and win stat the last couples of games. Then Rojas comes up to bat and gets the hit and I go “what if now they get a grand slam and come back?” Then bases c loaded and BOOM Jhey bomb, followed by Teo. God, I love the Dodgers.

People upset about the check swing call need to realize the umpires blew it with Will Smith on the previous at bat by not granting time in a key spot. He easily could and probably would have done the exact hit Teo did

The Ump does not have to grant the time out, specially if he believes the pitcher has started his wind up. Will Smith tried to call a time out to disrupt the pitcher as he usually does and this time he didn't time it correctly.
