48.95,21.91SVK the original isn’t really amazing either. I personally like hearing this over Toms, obviously Tom created it and it’s better because of that but I can’t believe people think the original is a masterpiece.
Corey is just incredible. When I see a performance like this, I have to be in awe that it's the same guy fronting Slipknot! You'd think after two decades I'd be over that, but here I am. Hats off Corey, You definitely have God given talent!
Laura Persing he sure fucking is...has literally been my living hero since I was 11 yrs old.... I've seen Slipknot and Stone Sour combined about 15 times...and they have NEVER given a bad show... CMFT for life \m/
So glad I delved into both Slipknot and Stone Sour back in the early 2000s, because I know that Corey intermixes hard core songs with more acoustic driven songs (Subliminal Verses, especially and Come Whatever May, 2 of my favorite all time albums)
I heard a band playing an acoustic version of it at work today, and was blown away by it. This one is great too, though. I didn’t know that the original was not acoustic.
Someone please explain to me what he is saying (and why) after the word “just” (where the proper lyric should be “go”) -is it “fo?” Or maybe “fold?” What the heck does that even mean in this context? The lyrics as written for the last four decades have always been “just go.” So WTH is this? I am genuinely asking. Can someone please explain this to me??
No. Cory' s singing sounds like he's whining. Tom Pettys version is way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way better then Corey will ever do.
Tom petty will be missed. And Corey Taylor, I hope never to disgrace him again with another horrible version of one of Tom's greatest hits. Corey sounds like he's crying when he sings.
