Nope, I listen to a live gig he did years ago in Birmingham it may have been the gig is two hours and he covers a few songs. The guy is like magic or something. Calms me down when I've had a bad day, I live Corey Taylor couldn't have gotten to where I am today without his music.
See the stone set in your eyes See the thorn twist in your side I'll wait for you Slight of hand and twist of fate On a bed of nails she makes me wait And I wait without you With or without you With or without you Through the storm, we reach the shore You gave it all but I want more And I'm waiting for you With or without you With or without you I can't live with or without you And you give yourself away And you give yourself away And you give, and you give And you give yourself away My hands are tied, my body bruised She got me with nothing to win And nothing left to lose And you give yourself away And you give yourself away And you give, and you give And you give yourself away With or without you With or without you I can't live With or without you With or without you With or without you I can't live With or without you With or without you
Im Swedish and we have a lot of great musicians and songs made but there is nothing that gives me goosebump like this man. FFS hes awesome both solo and in Slipknot. Merry Christmas Corey....
I recall Corey saying he would warm up prior to going on stage for Slipknot by singing Billy Joel songs. I thought that was sliglty weird but cool. Now it makes more sense. He loves to sing.
Hahah... I've always loved Corey Taylor's voice! He's rather fun to watch live with these smaller crowds too! It's interesting to experience this side to him! Would love to watch live!!
Corey seems very much at home singing these songs.. I've never listened to Slipknot and probably won't but this guy is so talented. He said he grew up listening to Elvis , Jim Reeves etc. His grandma raised him and she probably listened to alot of different music. Kudos to her and Corey.
insane version. I suffered a motorcycle accident a week ago, have 20 stitches in my left leg and listening to this version, I feel my whole stitches just squeezing my leg. hahahahaha... It's very nice to listen to Corey Taylor singing acoustics songs. Best regards from Brazil.
If you haven’t seen it, look up the version from the Zoo TV Sydney DVD. I used to sleep on this song until that version made me “get” it. It’s so bleak. Haunting. I even like it better than the excellent Rattle and Hum version everyone fawns over.
@@MrPorpington the transition from Lemon into With or Without You from the Sydney dvd is just pure magic, for 2 songs that have about a 7/8 year gap between them they sound beautiful together. Also the theatrical performance from Bono is just magic.. amazing version. Thanks for giving it the credit it deserves
@@ColorsBright Hey, I don't know why I didn't see your response until now, but you're dead accurate in everything you said. I'm also pretty biased toward that version because Lemon is my favorite song in U2's entire catalogue, so it just makes WOWY hit even harder for me when it transitions. God that transition. It's ear sex.
@@MrPorpington it's always crazy to think that there's only 4 concerts that had this transition as well... ONLY 4 live shows had this magical transition, so lucky for the people who saw and heard this live.
@@ColorsBright I'm sure Lemon is probably just too much for Bono's voice to handle these days, unfortunately, but I'm still sad I'll never get to see it live.
