Great reaction, I love the song and especially this version. Here's a little background info: it was written about a woman who helped Corey in a difficult time. Then it turned out, that she didn't love him the way he thought. But that's not way he's tearing up everytime he performs the song. Most of Slipknots band members didn't want to record the song because they felt, it didn't fit the bands catalogue. Their bassist Paul, who was also one of a Corey's oldest and closest friend believed in the song and fought till it made it on the album. Them Paul died. Now Corey always has to think about this tragic loss, when he sings it. As for Slipknot suggestions: The heretic anthem and Puls of the maggots Greetings from Germany!
My son discovered Slipknot when he was 12. When he first heard this song he came downstairs, tears streaming down his face and said he had never felt pain from a song before. A few years later he told me that he wanted that song played at his funeral, no matter how old he was. He is 31 now, wrote his first will and stipulated this in his last requests...
Man, I've listened to this song so many times and pretty much cried in all of them... this is so powerful, so meaningful, it's just one one those things that can't be explained you just have to listen and feel it... I had to unlike just so I could like this video a second time. I love just seeing a good honest reaction. I can only speak for myself but this brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. This just hits home for me and you can see that it hits Corey deep as well. This shits a masterpiece in my opinion

If you haven’t already- I’d love to hear your opinion of the KoRN song ‘daddy’, if not tho, I understand. But, I can tell you really connect and find the meaning in the music. It’s a song that has made me so passionate/connected to Korn and also so mad for J David. It’s literally a song that strikes your soul. Be prepared, it’s a super deep and meaningful- but, also incredibly fucked up- song.
