Kottambari soppu chutney | kottambari soppu | chutney
Ingredients:
Coriander leaves - 1 bunch
Tamarind (gooseberry size)
Green chillies - 3
Salt - to taste
Coconut (grated) - 4 tbsp
Cooking oil - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Asafoetida / hingu - a pinch
Rice
Yogurt
Method:
1. Wash and dry coriander leaves completely.
2. Transfer 1 bunch coriander leaves, tamarind (gooseberry size), 3 green chillies, salt to taste and 4 tbsp of grated coconut to the blender.
3. Blend smooth.
4. Coriander thokku is ready.
5. Now heat 1 tsp of oil on low flame and add 1 tsp of mustard seeds.
6. Let this splutter.
7. Now to this add a pinch of asafoetida / hingu.
8. Add this to the coriander thokku and mix.
9. To use this coriander thokku - mix coriander thokku with rice and add little yogurt and enjoy.
