I'm just going to make an unsolicited reply here and say try tungsten tape for tennis raquets. I don't think anyone with blingy corimas is going to want to mess up their pretty wheels with a strip of black tape but on my budget zipps that will impress literally no one, I don't feel bad and it does the job.

Mapdec is a Look dealer and Corima belong to Look who fit their top spec bikes with Corima wheelsets, so no wonder he speaks favourably of Corima. I wouldn't be surprised if that wheelset was his personal on loan for this video.

@@82vitt I'm aware, and I'm pretty sure he recommends FFWD Ryots, custom builds and some DT Swiss. Mainly anything with easily sourced, standard parts for maintenance and repair. I don't think noting that one attribute of the Corima foam core could be construed as a recommendation to buy them.

@@chris_gb_ It doesn't matter what what wheelset he recommends, when a factory built bike comes with a Corima wheelset. And besides, quieter how? Riding in a veldrome? When I am doing any more than 15mph on my bike on a road, all I can hear is the whooshing noise of air passing by my ears and over the helmet on top of the motor traffic noise.

For my roads, weight and dynamics i prefer 23mm inner and 32mm rear 30mm front

@@PeakTorque Interesting and unexpected observation on 23mm, I'm quite curious how and why this is better for you compared to the 25mm internal rims? I see plenty of people e.g. Chris Miller on the 25.5mm Reserve wheels, saying they would never go back to narrower internal widths, even if the tyre WAM is in that 30mm - 33mm range. Other pundits think we're not done yet with the tyre WAM and rim inner width arms race.

Wider tire on a narrow rim will produce a cross section that looks like an incandescent light bulb. This is less-aero than a rim that is wide enough to smoothly transition from tire sidewall to rim side wall.
