You got that right. Her debut, The Sea, The Heart Speaks in Whispers and her features got me enmeshed in melodies throughout last year. I am grateful to her, as well as Steve Chrisanthou for making her happy. Her music is even more beautiful today!
@Jady.....You're exactly right, she is so underrated. I really think they steer us common folk into liking 'no talents,' and make us think that truly greats like Corrine are not great. But we know she is!!!
Blueman Chicago Corinne is not underrated to me. Her first album was a perfect masterpiece. But then she only had ONE. the next one was is boring. js. :)
Off course it depends on your music taste. I personally found her second album a masterpiece as well. Her first one is clearly a MUST have :) Maybe she doesn't not get as much recognition as she should because she didn't go mainstream with her next albums
Her eyes smile sooooo much and her voice melts me.........one hell of a chick........she just glows! Forgot how amazing her tunes are! Remember seeing her for the first time on Jools Holland and can't get bored of her soul!

Janae Lyttle I truly hate to agree with the previous response, I love her sound, you hear her soul in every song she performs. I really feel bad for those who haven't heard her or are too ignirant to search her out. Definitely one of my favorite vocalists!

Best "new" Smooth Jazz since Sade debuted in 1985. The entire album is very well produced, and created with the same attention to QUALITY as Sade's back then. Bravo for another UK addition to setting the bar for AUDIO PERFECTION. WELL DONE!
Whoa! Don't know which is more beautiful - Corinne or the melody, the orchestra, or everything altogether?? Thankfully, I haven't missed out on any of her discography this past decade and a half; she's been truly spectacular!

I love Corrine Bailey Rae's music, I've been a fan since "Put your Records On". I feel she is so talented and her music is soothing and transcending .Always positive and in these times we're living in now we can not have enough of positivity . I remember when I saw the video for Like A Star....I was enchanted...fortunately Fader Magazine had that song on a mixtape CD but I had to order the debut album from the UK through Barnes & Noble's music department a year before it was released in the states....I bought the special edition with the second disc of her favorite covers ...songs by other artists...she reminded me of Minnie Riperton back then....she has evolved eventhough she does not release music as much as other artists.
