I've had this idea on my list of projects for years. I was very nervous about halfway through this process. I'm glad to say, it came out better than I could have hoped for!

That came out very cool! If you decide to work with the cork again, it might be interesting to soak some in wine for a a while and then let it dry out again. Could make for some interesting colors.

Actually if you were writting a review on Amazon it should be like all those others you see... "1 star, would give it zero if I could!! Bought blender to shreds corks. Made a mess that I need to clean up!! Worst product ever!!!!!!! NEGATIVE 10000000 stars!!" Reminds me of a review I seen where a guy gave a 6ah tool battery (about 3-5x capacity of regular tool battery) 1 star because and I quote: "Takes forever to charge and is way to big. Why would anyone need such a high capacity battery! Stupid product!" That's a special kinda dumb if I do say so...

You kill me with laughter, the way you introduce your ingredient, and the fact that your "Secret ingredients" are packing tape and hot glue. It looked more like granola than dog food to me ^_^' I would LOVE to see those shavings in resin, I'm with Mrs. Brown. It turned out AMAZING with that polish, I'd love to see a "Hidden Cork" something or other with colored Resin maybe that's something you could try!

Thanks again for being very entertaining. I`ve been lathing for almost three years now. I have made a couple of the thins you taught me. With my own twist to it. A wire/epoxy bowel, denim bracelet, not just denim also wool from a sweater etc. 8 altogether. I turned a mold on the lathe then proud epoxy over cloth, Nice colors. Last week I made a HTPE plate which I`m taking to the club meeting . Ed

Fun! For serious chopping, a "buffalo chopper" is probably the better option. Heavy duty food service equipment. As well, more and more wine is coming with plastic "corks" arguably a better way to close a bottle of wine but not so good if you're wanting to source actual cork. Lastly, I REALLY like that you persevered and kept working at the bracelet even when you weren't too positive about how it would , well, finish up.

Dammit Peter, you're definitely California pretty. First: mini food processor. Less speed, more torque. Mix good. Like $15 at Walmart. Second: nylon panty hose can sub for a belt in a pinch. No kidding. Ran a Cutlass Supreme with a pair for like 4 days.

That did turn out pretty cool looking. I'm convinced that Yorkshire Grit is part magic, gives anything a glass-like finish. I believe the salt bracelet was one of the first vids of yours I watched. Thanks for all the fun!

Would you know what the best adhesive would be for HDPE on HDPE? Turning a giant handle for a project and you seem to be the king of resins so I thought you may have an idea

Adhesives won't stick. polyethylene the PE in HDPE is actually a very oily plastic and if anything does stick it would only be able temporary. You can plastic weld HDPE though

Toluene or xylene solvents to solvent weld. Pretty much anything else will fail

The resin shavings in resin would just go clear. He dipped resin shavings once and they just disappear.

@@liriosogno6762 The shavings aren't just straight resin... It has cork in it as well since the shavings are from the cork bracelet he was making. So I don't think it would react the exact same way as just regular resin shavings.
