Blood Meridian is a 1985 novel by the America author, Cormac McCarthy. McCarthy was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1933, and died 89 years later in Santa Fe. He wrote twelve novels, beginning in 1965 with The Orchard Keeper, and including the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Road, in 2006, but Blood Meridian is generally considered his masterpiece.
