Think its terrible how tense the rider looks. Dressage should look effortless. She makes it look as if she's using every muscle in her body.

Yes, main gripe is that the horse spends most the test behind the vertical. It is desribed by the FEI as a serious fault as such, and one to be penilized. Although its extremely common to see practically everywhere that is mainly through ignorance. Most people are not professionals and ride for pleasure but it should be encouraged to ride lighter in the hand, not the opposite. A little hard though when the so called best are winning with horses who spend the vast majority of the test BTV

I agree, but you also have to take into account how big this horse's movements are. She really does have to use every muscle to keep from bobbing all over like a potato sack. Think of how strong your core has to be to stay with him and his suspension!

Exactly And the horse s structure is more powerfull on the back than is neck with this type she is forced To lean backward a little she counterbalances.

i think this is awesome but ed gal is much more of a still rider you hardly see him move especially in his transitions, where you see adeline move alot with her body more than just going with the horses movement, but hey they are both incredible and majestic horses!!!

I amire Adelinde because she has accompliced this all by herself and has no sponsers. BTW he doesn't walk behind the vertical that often.
@thecrazydolls
@thecrazydolls 15 лет назад
just an observation...he's very very "tight" in the neck and almost continuously behind the vertical

ECHT? Es wurde doch extra ein Beitrag gebracht in dem sie dementiert. So weit ich weiss trainiert sie aber beim Mann von Anky.

Much more flowing that Totilias, but the collected work isnt as flamboyant. Hes a bit bigger and lighter and the extra leg length helps the flow. Just doesnt quite have the presence that Totilias has.

You make it seem trivial that the horse is very much BTV. Once again, I was never critisizing, simply pointing out. Is that something you find difficult to handle for some reason? And I am well and truely aware that he doesnt just use LDR and that LDR is but a part of his system, but its LDR I have a problem with and the out behind, on the forehand but oh so flashy result it produces. And excuse me if I seem a little rabid when embroiled in a petty argument with an ignorant child with a lack..
@thecrazydolls
@thecrazydolls 15 лет назад
No, Jack, I didnt tell you that, I said in that PHOTO thats what they looked like. Once again you are assuming. Go lean how not to do that because its a fucking pain in the arse and one day it will land you in a lot of trouble. and school hols start here on monday so excuse me if I dont live in the land of snakes and crocs. Im not going to argue with you over this, you know perfectly well what I can do and Im pretty sure Ive told you before I like to watch these vids because I like to LEARN.
@thecrazydolls
@thecrazydolls 15 лет назад
Really jaccko, you're lecturing me about this? All that crap you just said was shit that, honestly, you made up. Either that or assumed because none of it I ever said, except the bit about the horse being being the vertical. The very first photo I saw of this pair was under a heading saying she had beaten Anky, and the horse was well behind the vertical and the hindlegs were trailing so badly that if it werent for the fact he were in a double bridle and her in tails, he could have been a 4yo.
@thecrazydolls
@thecrazydolls 15 лет назад
Not that I'm entirely sure what dressage has got to do with self loathing, jack, but thanks for your concern all the same. I'm quite fine.. I just have a different opinion to you. And I was meerly stating a fact. Maybe you should ride your horse like this-neck cranked up and behind the vertical, and maybe then the judges won't mark you down. Seems to work for her, doesn't it? Thesse guys aren't the best in the world at dressage, atleast not real dressage. Phillipe Karl, however..

Thanks for showing this video. I dislike seeing her figthing against the back of the horse, laying back behind the vertical.

They're neat and tidy, yes. Accurate, yes. Like clock work, like most of the very top combinations are. They are bang on with transistions etc. But it was just an observation and it's hard to deny the fact the horse spends the vast majority of the test behind the vertical. And I'm not just saying that for the sake of it.
@thecrazydolls
@thecrazydolls 15 лет назад
once again, I would just like to reiterate that I never said that that she did use LDR, the two replying to my comment-dude from brazil and waccko jaccko-suggested that that was what I was implying. Which I wasnt. Just saying that he spent a lot of time BTV and seemingly very tight in the neck....yet again, just an oberservation.
@thecrazydolls
@thecrazydolls 15 лет назад
I never said she did, I said the horse was mostly behind the vertical. You realise its possible for that to happen and not to use that method. see it here all the time. Its called hand heavy riding.. Just so you know, sjef isnt the only trainer that uses it. I was simply pointing it out. Bloody hell..
@Jaccko14
@Jaccko14 15 лет назад
no but its somewhat not a fact. The horses neck is not cranked up what so ever - its not short, not tense, or behind the verticle. You clearly have a problem with your eyes. Parzival is not behind the verticle, how would you prefer? nose up looking at the stars? That would create a hollow back and prevent the horse from moving freely the way it does. Its quite natural for a horse to have head movement while being ridden - other wise it would be stiff and not free, then wouldnt it Mrs expert
@thecrazydolls
@thecrazydolls 15 лет назад
Oh, and I've got a little saying for you. To assume makes an ass out of u and me. I think you should take time to absorb that one. Because it seems to do that a lot. Otherwise, I'm not sure how you could have come to adore LDR styled riding.

AMAZING HIND LEG!!!!!!!!!! WOW i wish my horse had a hind leg like that, he actually looks like Parzival
@Jaccko14
@Jaccko14 15 лет назад
vanezzabr - Totally agree! And thats the funny thing. Adelinde has said before that she does not completly follow the training method of hyperflexion (not that it matters), yet people think she trains like that because she is dutch and start critisizing it when they have no clue as to how she trains behind the scenes!

Hmm... Cornelissen received an 87.35% and Parzival was behind the vertical and had a tight neck? I don't think so. It's a lovely horse--they are a very neat and tidy pair.

Nice test and all, but to me the rider seems very stiff. She's leans back too much for my liking. Also I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this but, her hands never move. I am taught to move my hands with my horse, if you keep them still it's harder for them to be on the vertical. I like how her elbows are bent though, big plus for that. I just feel she is very stiff and it could possibly be altering how well the horse performs.

Well i dont know what you can expect, when you are riding a world cup, maybee she is tens beacuseof the major press?. And i dont see any thing wrong by working, when you first are sitting up on the horse, to make him going a littel bitt better :). Is my personal opinion :)

Adelinde Cornelissen does not use LRD or Rollkur, but bases her ridning on the classical principles of dressage. Just because someone is dutch doesn't mean they can't think for themselves;) Besides, if you look at the collection in Parzival, he is straight, loose and in rythm and collects from behind. Yes, the nose could be a bit more in front of the vertical, but he does not break in the third vertebrae and his hindq. are lower than the frontq. = not on the forehand.
