Ben Davison is only 26 years old and came in for a lot of criticism before Tyson Fury's fight with Deontay Wilder, but after you watch this video of his corner work you'll realise he's the right man for the job...

Roach said he would have been way more offensive and believes Fury would have stopped him if they weren't so cautious.

He gave him the wrong advice. The reason it ended in a draw was because Fury fought conservatively and ultimately gave Wilder the opportunity to figure out Fury in 10 and 12.

@@fact-fiction7636 Lol another excuse for Wilder. Ben did read Wilder like an open book, Tyson just didn't follow Ben's instructions that led to the 2 knockdowns. In both knockdowns Tyson stayed still for about a second instead of moving in and tying up Wilder or stepping out of range after landing like Ben had told him. Davison's knowledge is well beyond his age; his laid back style is perfect for Tyson as he doesn't get flustered at all in big championship moments.

@Phonic Tales LOL that's all Wildets have, blaming someone else because Wilder couldn't finish the job himself. Davison did great and he told Tyson exactly what to do. @tomraymond9795
@tomraymond9795 5 лет назад
100% Agreed. The fact Wilder kept swinging gave Fury a chance to show off his defence to the fullest. People say the Klitscho fight was boring but it wasn't Fury's fault. Kitscho was cautious because every time he tried to land the jab he got popped in the eye. I'd be cautious too! Wilder was braver and more agressive but even he was cautious by his own standards by the middle rounds. Not hard to see why, his left eye was pretty much swollen shut and the right was caught too. His body language showed he was getting beat. He's got heart though and Fury pissed him off too much round 8, re-lit Wilder's fire from round 9. He'd gassed to get the knock down in round 12 though and Fury surviving the knock down and follow up flurry then coming back at him seemed to break his spirit. It was Wilder looking vulnerable by the end of the 12th but at least he was still trying to win the fight in the later rounds. In contrast, Klitscho tried too little too late and even his biggest shots in the 12th where taken and answered. He hadn't done enough to tire Fury so he was too fresh to be knocked down. Looking forward to the rematch!

He gave him the wrong advice. The reason it ended in a draw was because Fury fought conservatively and ultimately gave Wilder the opportunity to figure out Fury in 10 and 12.

Dude knows what he is doing,, absolutely great reading to the fight. Shame on them for taking the victory away from Tyson.

I’ve never regretted my words so much saying what’s Tyson doing with Ben Davidson. What a match up he’s a credit to himself

Very intelligent trainer, that’s why a lot of other fighters look to him for advice, Haney, billy joe, Tyson etc

Ben Davison is a new classic trainer. Excellent eye for detail - trainer of the year no doubt
