If you're looking for 'that' sound, I reckon the Gladio will satisfy and then some. It's a well thought out, big old tone machine that stands on its own regardless of its references. If you're into cool, smooth, fat and compressed, and (sorry) chewy and chimey - you should try this pedal. It's a ripper.

Hope you’re keeping well in Melbourne Brett. Things sound a bit messy down there at the moment. I’m in Bris-Vegas but had no idea Signal Chain were here too. Happy days. This is a pedal I’m interested in so glad you could cover it with your usual quality.

Very smart design, to have the capability of: stacking . . . or have 1 side for Rhythm & the other-side for Lead. Sounds fantastic. Great stuff as always Brett.

@@BrettKingman Got it in. . Yep, this drive pedal was the missing link . I have several thick & high gain drives, V twin, Fetto Nord 70, Ethos TWE-1. This Gladio was the one typo I was missing !

Does anyone know what happened to Cornerstone and why they stopped manufacturing the Gladio? I do not see them in the major supply houses like Sweetwater or Guitar Center.

Clever design. Might work well with slightly brighter amps and/or pups - my rig tends to be quite bright (mostly EL84 based power sections, VOX-ish, Laney and Fender cleans). I'm always rolling back the tone on my amps and/or guitar to avoid the dreaded "fizz" (as opposed Fuzz, which I love). The lower mids and the Jazz/Rock modes in this make it a POI (Pedal Of Interest) for me. Damned expensive tho - but it's obvious high-end build quality. Cheers, Burgs. Hope you and yours are doing ok during this damn pandemic.

Something in the melodic turns reminds me Swedish traditional Music and some bands from the 70's that follow that traditon. And as always am impressed with how perfect Brett uses the gear in a musical context they work great.
