Ruby says "Thanks for the nice walk Uncle Jeff ! Can we have more rabbits for me to chase on the next one ?" 🐕 🤷♂ Nice being out and about with you two. Take care both of you and much love to you from Spain ! Garry & Ruby ❤🐕"More rabbits please !"
Ah sorry Ruby, I’ve filmed another two walks since this but no rabbits. Lots of mud though, I’m sure you’d like that 🤣 Thanks Garry, much love back to you both from us both ❤️😎👋🏼
Lovely scenery and some hairy drops from the cliff tops. I like the way the sea has eroded the the rocks and shown the different strata. Great vid, SB.
Thanks Jim. Yes the north coast is very dramatic. Some of the coast path has gone around Widemouth Bay through erosion. Nature will always have its way.
@@Saddlebags73 That's a good idea, Jeff. I've thought about something similar for my model boat things. Do let me know how I can find your walks ones please.
Okay will do. There won’t be anything new on there for a while yet. But everything from this coast walk onwards will be going on there. It’ll be several weeks getting the previous ones uploaded and scheduled first.
A lovely walk on what looked like a fresh day, Twinks's nose at the end suggested there was a cool sea breeze 😪 Those sheep weren't half living life on the edge 😲
The last few coast walks have been a battle against cold winds. Almost taken us off our feet a couple of times. I tell Twinks it’s all part of the fun 🤣 Thanks Mr Wolf 🙂👍🏼
That was a video I really apriciated! I wish that I could come there some day! However ve have thre cats that we love as it was our children, witch we do not have, so we can not leave them at home as they have spesially needs like do no see as good as other cats so they are with us all the time when we travel. But in your country, you are driving on the "wrong side" and I am afraid I am too old to coop with that. So videos like this is wery welcome!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍
I’m glad you enjoyed and thank you for watching. Quite understand your situation. I could argue that we drive on the correct side 🤣 Thanks again and take care over there 🙂👋🏼👍🏼
I reckon so Mark. Fairly gentle compared to much of the coast path. Plenty of places for refreshments in Bude/Widemouth/Helebridge, and an easy walk back to Bude along the canal. Tiz some priddy 🙂👍🏼
I am a big fan of your canal system. If I ever get back over I'm renting a canal boat for a week. I find the scenery here during the winter time a bit haunting yet beautiful.
I’ve been on a horse drawn barge in Tiverton - so peaceful. But there aren’t many canals in this part of the country. A week on a narrow boat would be great though. Cheers Flat Cap 👍🏼
Very relaxing indeed. I do this walk quite often & see all kinds of birds and wildlife, even otters some times. A lovely series this mate, your camera footage is so nice, I'm dead jealous with my Box Brownie!
Ahh Widemouth Bay, I haven't been in so long, time becomes meaningless there, I just get lost in that view. Nice to see you making some friends with the wildlife 😂 Lovely photos mate, beautiful, hope you're both well.
I think the whole of the north coast is timeless, I love it. Saddlebags the robin whisperer 😬 Thank you mate, all is well and hope it’s the same your end 👍🏼
Beautiful scenery I’ve been to Cornwall a couple times for family holidays I love it there and Devon where I live it’s boring and flat I live in Essex near Colchester you have to travel quite away to get to see better scenery but that’s how it is great video
Hi Jeff. Me and the wife have done that one several times as it is so easy. Normally park the other side of the A39 from the Wier in a small carpark. So many places to eat and drink, either Bude, Widemouth Bay or the Wier. Looking forward to seeing the next leg which we have never done.
Hi Mike. Ah yes Twinks and I have done it starting from Helebridge too. It’s a nice easy one. The next stretch was harder going but very rewarding. Thanks and all the best 👍🏼
Maaaate, absolutely awesome. Thanks for showing this. Another “on the list “ of things to do when I return. Widemouth to Crackington sounds like a challenge, although I know you & twinks are up for it!. I sent you a little video earlier today, around 15:00 here, therefore it would have been silly o’clock over your way, I meant to keep it & send it at a more acceptable time, however as usual, my finger trigger hit the button & off it went. Apologies mate. Anywho shiny side up mate, take care over there. Bah Bah & Hooroo for now 👍😁
Another great place my sister mother and I walked a little bit of the canal and had dinner on the barge but didn’t see it in the video so guess they don’t use it winter time and found some drone footage from widemouth the other day I love our coastline in Devon and Cornwall 👍🏻😁
It’s lovely along the canal. Not sure I’ve seen the dinner barge, but we only really go to these places out of season when it’s a bit quieter. Taken my drone on the coast walk a few times but always been too windy 🤷🏻♂️ Yea I love where we live, moors and coast easily accessed 👍🏼 Cheers J 😎
Beautiful, dramatic & very rugged at the same time, a lovely day for it Saddlebags & your a very lucky man living down that way my friend, I should put up a video of where I live but it wouldn’t be anywhere near as good as the views you have down there! Nice to see views your way👌🏻 DCT Dave & Butty Bach 🙂 enviously signing off 😉
The scenery looks stunning, even this time of year. Level Canal paths - now that’s my kind of walking 😅 It was disappointing to see the cliff erosion going on 😢
Yes quite a long stretch of coast path is closed off around Widemouth due to erosion. Nature will always have its way I guess. Haha, the tow path was a pleasant change 🙂 Cheers TMB 👍🏼
You’re a darling, thank you 🤗 There won’t be much new on there for a while (apart from a little Dartmoor vid next week). I’ll be posting the coast path videos that have previously been shown on this channel. From then on all the walking vids will only be on Westcountry Walks.
You really need to put Warning ⚠ signs on this type of video. Don't know which one would go first. Warning, watching this video might cause sudden relaxation and need to use the bathroom 🚽, and continued warning ⚠ as watching this video while on the toilet , high risk of falling asleep and hitting your head. Thank God I had a dog today to lick my face to wake me up on the floor and ....... weird, I don't remember wiping....... anyways. Thank you!😅😅
Bude's actually nearer to me than Exeter. Will have to try that circular walk, maybe when it's dry though. Don't fancy the gate where the cattle have trampled it up 😏 The cliffs look a bit crumbly but not too high so I should be alright😊 Looks so peaceful in Winter. Did you look in the bird hide? I saw a kingfisher there once.
The cliffs are quite high in parts but you can stay well away from the edge. In fact a section of the path is closed off at Widemouth due to erosion and you have to use the road. Bird hide? Didn’t see that. Guess it’s doing its job 🤣 I have seen a Kingfisher before though. Surprised how small they are.
@@kenbrooks7794 well of course Bude doesn't have the facilities of Exeter but is a nice quiet drive off season. It also has North Cornwall Motorcycles and the Bude Tunnel 😂
