I dream of Cornwall, But you are there, Enjoying the harbor, Eating fudge, Exploring narrow roads, Seeing colorful cottages. Holding hands, On a walk, To get Fish and Chips! What a place, You went, You took us there!
The original Poldark series was made in 1975 with Robin Ellis and Angharrad Rees, in 1977 I dragged poor hubby to Cornwall, and we went to all of the filming locations and even stayed at the hotel where the cast had been based!!😊 in Lostwithiel. I still have all the books I collected at the time. Loved every minute 😂
Robin Ellis wrote two books about Poldark locations and about Cornwall which I have, many years later my sister and I went to a Poldark reunion lunch in London and met a lot of the cast including "Ross and Demelza " Robin Ellis and Angharrad Rees. They were lovely and they all signed my books which I had taken with me. Still have them today!! Great memories and have been to Cornwall many times since 😊
What I love most is how Joerg loves Kirsten! He is so affectionate towards her and any man who likes ice cream cones is a man after my own heart. Really enjoy your visits to Cornwall..Aidan Turner..be still my heart!
Always, always, always look forward to your videos. They are tastefully done, top-notch, plus the time and effort you put into all your videos are hands down the best I've seen; not to mention the beautiful music playing in the background, as well! What a beautiful location! Thanks for sharing, Kirsten and Joerg!
We loved this video!! You warm our hearts with your enjoyment of all the unique features of Cornwall.. and it’s so sweet to see Joerg’s affection for you Kirsten ♥️♥️The fudge, fish and chips, the seagull, the boats, the interesting architecture.. all lovely! We could almost smell the sea air as well.. pretty music 🎶 too! I started harmonizing along! ☺️👏🏻🩵
Hi Kristen and Joerg, Had a lovely holiday in Cornwall last week, stayed in Portreath in a cute little house a stones throw away from the beach! We visited Polperro and had a delicious meal at The Three Pilchards would highly recommend eating there for anyone visiting Cornwall The Lizard is a must for anyone visiting. The scenery is stunning got a really good fish and chip shop there and really nice shops! Love all your videos!
Oh how lovely to hear! We LOVE the Lizard, it's where we spent our very first ever holiday in England. We shared the place again on our channel 2 years ago.
Dear Kirsten and Joerg, I have long wanted to visit Cornwall but not got around to it, so thank you both for bringing me with you. Cornwall is very beautiful.💖🇮🇪
Cornwall is absolutely breath taking! It was great to see those unique and beautiful fishing villages. We are so thankful for you two. Thanks so much!❤
Cornwall has always been my favourite part of England. I visited Tintagel via Wells ( in Somerset ) on a tour in 1987. It felt spiritual to me. In 2019, I flew from Lands End airport with Skybus to St. Mary’s Airport on the Isles of Scilly. I was booked at the lovely Karma St. Martin hotel which I arrived at by their boat shuttle. You’d love exploring and walking the entire of St. Martin. I saw puffins, ancient stone circles, amazing rock formations, lighthouses, beautiful beaches. The path is wonderful and there is a cute pub you can visit for eats or a drink. After five days there I flew to Newquay and drove to St. Ives, Penzance, Mousehole, the Merry Maidens rock circle, La Morna cove and then up to Plymouth. It’s a vacation I treasure. I hope you get there some day. You’d love it!
Ah, Fowey was gorgeous! And Cornwall itself, too! I’m a native of Rhode Island in the United States, and some parts of Cornwall reminded me a lot of Newport. We even have Newport fudge! (Which is SO delicious, and seeing the fudge in this video is making me crave it again! 🤤) All the food in the video looked incredible, too! Thank you for this video. 💜🙏🏻
I’m sure the tasty-looking ones you both had must be just as delicious! The trouble for me in a fudge shop is that I’d want to buy one of everything! 😅 Thank you again! ❤️
Kristen and Joerg you bring so much joy to our lives. All of the places you visit are places I would love to go if I could. Beautifully done. God Bless♥From the USA
I live in the U.S. and have never been to Britain. I had plans to go a few years ago, but things didn't work out. So I've really been enjoying your videos, as i love the quaintness of the cottages and shops. Thank you for sharing your trips with us.
I absolutely love the trim work around the doors/entrances to these beautiful homes! Thanks for taking me with you - the seaside and views of the mansions down onto the harbor were stunning!
Dominique l ‘Alsacienne
You are just so suited, you fit each other like gloves, so modest, yet sweet together, so into enjoying life even in the cold and rain. I love your videos, I only just discovered you and am already addicted. You are like two innocent kids, enjoying all the fun the playground of England can offer you both. And as for your English, well perfect. Hard to realise you are German. Lovely ice cream treat there! The fact that you manage to find all that great food does you both proud.
Was watching the original All Creatures Great and Small series. On the dining table the service looked like the Asiatic Blue pattern.I know you loved the series Kirsten.I wondered if you'd noticed. Its on twice a day at the moment.🤗🤗🤗
My grandmother was born in Charlestown, her father was a sea captain sailing from there, so was his father and uncles. They then moved to Fowey and lived in one of the first houses you filmed, where you were on the balcony, just along from there. Special place for me.
I actually love seeing all the treats and the food you guys are enjoying in the various places you go. It's all part of the culture of a place. Cornwall is on my bucket list. And, also, im very jealous of Jorg's ability to eat whatever he likes while staying so thin! Not fair, Jorg!😂
Some men are just blessed like that, everything they eat is turned to energy.. My late husband could “pack it in” and never gained an ounce. He used to say “We skinny people get really hungry” LOL
Hey Y'all! I cannot tell ya'll how much I enjoyed every step you both took on the trip to Cornwall. It's truely one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen! Just the most wonderful places a person could get lost in! The houses both big and small I loved them all and I wish I could visit this country at least once before I leave this world! May you both be blessed in all your travels. Much of GODS BEST IN ALL YOU DO! 🙏 📚 🎶
Absolutely loved this video! I have loved Cornwall after discoverying the show Doc Martin and I try and catch any video touring anywhere in Cornwall. Each fishing village was so different and unique, the houses were truly amazing and I thought the narrow streets gave it so much character. I can't tell you how much joy your videos bring to me as my husband has dementia and is no longer able to travel and I can't leave him so just tagging along with you guys is so much fun. The way you videotape your trips is just excellent. Hugs from the USA!
Thanks so much! I‘m so terrible sorry to learn about your husband’s dementia. Sending so much love and hope the videos provide a little escape for you.x
We are in the middle of renovation and as you know it is fun and at the same time stressful . Your notification came just in time for me to get my tea and sweets , relax and enjoy this beautiful video . Thank you so much Kirsten and Joerg. Mostly glad you two enjoyed it .
I always LOVE your seaside visits. The areas are so wonderful. I can't imagine living in this village your entire life. What lovely life. I really need Joerg's metabolism! TY!
Beautiful vlog. Nothing like fish and chips outside in the fresh air. Lovely seeing all the places we visit when home. Because of the wind, we always talk about "the wind chill factor" in the UK!😊

Oh my gosh. Now I’m craving fudge. Beautiful place. Cornwall. Living here in Maryland in the US, I love the water, too, and the sounds of the seagulls.
Oh doesn't Joerg look so happy with his ice cream 🍦. Looking forward to seeing this, although I may not be able to watch while its live. But I'm definitely always so happy to see your beautiful videos. A gorgeous couple you are. ❤😊
That really was beautiful. It would be like living in a fairytale. All the houses overlooking the water were amazing. I would love to see inside if them all. Thanks for the fun trip! Take care you two.❤
Hello young lovers Kirsten and Jorge!❤ it is so sweet and uplifting to my spirit to enjoy your adventures with you. Cornwall is especially beautiful and magical_ the cozy cottages and unique archtiecture. Your lunch of fish and chips eaten outdoors in a crisp breeze , and the sausage pastry looked so delicious. I will never get a chance to visit, but I feel I have been there through reading many books and novels set in Cornwall. i read that in ancient times, Phoenician ships made their way there to trade with the local folk. I am glad you had good weather.for exploring. the narrow streets and showing us spectaculat views. Thank you. from across the pond 💕🇺🇸😎
Another amazing video. The villages in Cornwall are now on my bucket list to visit! Also, I love how affectionate you two are with each other. It's wonderful to see that magic hasn't gone out of your marriage, and I'm sure it never will. 💕
Such a lovely area, you really make it hard for anyone looking to choose a quaint village to move to. I think Cornwell just may have my heart 🥰 Again, the music accompaniment, perfect. I know YT gives out awards, you should certainly get one for all the music you've had over the yrs.
I’ve been dying to visit Cornwall since I read the first Poldark books as a teenager in the 70s. The author, Winston Graham, almost makes this beautiful location one of the characters in the books. It reminds me very much of the Northern California coast, where I live, but we don’t have the charming old stone buildings. Amy that we built in the 19th century, when European settlement if this coast began (after some Russian wooden forts and churches earlier), were soon knocked down by Mother Nature with her earthquakes. Among the first Europeans settlers were many New Englanders after coming West for the Gold Rush, who brought their architecture with them, the New England coastal style perseveres here. The storms off the ocean are just as wild here as in New England, but not snowy. I love the coastal climate, it never gets hot, but live a bit inland, where it does.
I must remember that Fowey is pronounced Foy. To rhyme with joy. 😄 Love those beautiful elegant houses. Every fishing village you visited is so lovely and so charming. But my favorite part was Jörg and his enthusiasm over food. Now I wanna try that fudge. And the "small" sausage roll. And fish & chips. Oh, and that ice cream, looked so good. 😁
Yes, we always double check how to pronounce the places names but make many mistakes. Oh hahah I know, we no longer have any sweets at home but enjoy the odd treat on weekends or when we film for RU-vid.
@@KirstenJoerg You're always so considerate and kind. 😊 No worries, I think no one watching your videos should get upset or angry even if you do pronounce something wrong (which you never do). And you're right. Moderation is a key. One should enjoy sweets, but occasionally, like over weekend. That is also what I do.
I was in Cornwall a few weeks ago. Would have been a dream to bump into you two! Like the excitement you felt when you saw Mrs. Crocombe! We stayed at The Pig on the Beach. (We’ve stayed at a lot of Pigs, and I always think you’d love them). It’s a great hotel, but they also have a lovely spot for food, tea and drinks overlooking the sea. Can’t wait for the show to begin!
Well then, I'll reach out to you when I"m traveling to the UK next@@KirstenJoerg ! By the way, The Pig is opening a location in 2025 (seems like it's FAR in the future, but sadly that's not!) at Groomsbridge in Kent. It's the stunning house used for filming as the Bennet family home, Longbourn, in the 2005 Pride and Prejudice ---my personal favorite!
Such a beautiful vlog .All the places you visited were where my husband and myself went as part of our honeymoon fifty four years ago.Cornwall continues as it has been.Lovely.Thank you fir sharing.😄🎉☀️
My partner and I stayed very close to Polperro earlier this year, such a lovely area. We took an impromptu visit to Mevagissy too and this video brought it all back. Thanks for the uplifting upload! 🙂
I adore Polperro. I have watched numerous walking tours on YT of this area and so love the rich history of this little port. Thank you for showcasing this beautiful and wonderful little gem.
