Sheriff also acts like a "title". It's just like when people are knighted, they are referred to as "Sir". Also people who retired from the military can be referred to by their rank in the general public such as "Colonel" or "Sarge"

5:05 When I was in the army I had an 1st LT that had almost the same speech impediment. Only difference is the 1st LT only repeated the last syllable of the previous sentence before starting the next sentence. Example: Im going to get a dog. og then im going to buy a leash. eash then mabye a bed, ed then we will go home.

Saab goes along but trys to hold some "strings" as they should since they are the "lead" whilst the other captians wording is very harsh and direct in these clips. Makes me wanna believe they see him more as a nuisance/annoyance which in fairness he is, but its character that is missing in the pd before :/
