Corolla ALTIS 1.6 Comparison | PakWheels 

If anyone is planning to buy one of these cars, so here is my honest review. Recently we sold Altis 1.6 special edition. It gives an average of 10-11 km/l in city and max 15 km/l on highway. I think it is useless to consider both of these variants in this price bracket. If you prefer Toyota go for Grande. Ground clearance is much compromised due to body kits. Interior quality is also average. And this generation seems outdated (even if it's cvt). Go for Korean brands like Kia and Hyundai. As the owner is complaining about parts availability of Elantra, if you can spend 7 million on a car you can get it insured as well. They have service network across Pakistan. Those cars are readily available without any kind of premium. They offer reasonable features as well. And I guarantee everyone that their built quality is far better as compared to these scraps. Most of the people can't escape Toyota's love, but in my opinion Toyota IMC has deteriorated it's standard in last few years. I am even surprised that people spend 8 million on Grande rather than buying Sportage FWD. We'll it's Toyota's luck that they are still successful in selling a 9 year old Corolla. I am not giving this opinion as a keyboard warrior, I have used Toyota more than a decade. We'll it was a little knowledge from my side.

Being owner of Corolla 1.6 altis X 2022 from almost one year Here is few points according to my experience, *Fuel average is 9-10 in city and 15-16/liter on motorway if cruising under 130km/hr *Good in city as well as on motorway but feels under power on hill stations *Ground clearance is compromised due to kits on front/back, *haven't spent even a penny except oil change services *cruise on 170+ on motorway still felt everything under control *brakes are fine but a lot of room for improvement *stability road grip is ok felt no such issue *ac is better than any sedan in this league *seats are comfortable but only 3 adults can adjust at back seat *plastic material is not upto mark * need to push bit higher in first/second gear to gain speed This is highlights for anyone who wants to buy! except shaskay this car is a good city driven sedan if you care about your hard earned money forget korean/chinese vehicles in market

Already owning Elantra 2022 2.0 GLS & Altis 1.6 non CVT altis maintenance cost me around 13k meanwhile Elantra maintenance cost me around 9k and parts are readily available of Elantra through out pakistan

speed and driving style does make a difference, i have a 2014 honda city aspire 1.5 manual, i get 13 to 13.5 in city, never tried on long, but it does give me an average of 15+ if i am going to the airport in karachi. My brother has a 2011 1.3 city that car gives him 10 in city.

Retractable mirror is also missing in Non Special edition.

The long drive averages are totally incorrect. I am a user of same altis 1.6 since 2017 and it never goes beyond 13 km/ltr.

Which one fast?

Corolla gli 2020 manual variant, gives 12-13 in city and 16-16.7 long route at 100KM/h Speed. It all depends on your driving style and how well your car is maintained.

We bought corolla 1.6 in 2019 for around 32 lakh . Back then we thought it was so expensive 😂 now the new one is around 65 68 ! .. Ya Allah mulk Kay muashi haalaat theek Kar de.

I owned Corolla 1.3 MT 2015. Its best km/l on highway drive was 17.5 km / l. My friend bought 1.6 Altis automatic the same year. It gave an average of 16 km/l. The car was beautiful and elegant. Now the Toyota with kits looks like a gaudy whore instead of a dainty girlfriend. My Vitz F1 was way better than Corolla. Lately I switched to Honda City which does not compare at all with Corolla 1.3 which is now deleted. Yaris is a total piece of junk. The only plus with Honda City is that it exceeds 19 km/l on highways. My dear friends remember the fuel average depends on the power to weight ratio, driving style, season of the year, type and size of tyres; and the road conditions. Everything else is simply crap.
