ANGE KRUMINS they may not be including them because they’ve not been tested for the virus. While they may assume they died of corona/covid/CCP Virus it would be bad science to include them. There will be a number of people who pass at home and go unreported because there are cases of people dying quickly and never reporting feeling ill, or having mild symptoms and being told to self isolate we will tests you later, stiff like that will change the numbers. Some are complaining they’re counting anyone who does with the virus as a death by the virus, some are complaining they don’t count everyone who does while we’re thinking about the virus. They are also counting people who have died of stage-4 cancers who tested positive as having died BECAUSE of covid-19. When in fact they died BECAUSE of cancer with covid-19. All the stats are basically meaningless.

I was sick for weeks in December with fever, aches, stomach problems and the most extreme fatigue I've ever felt in my life. Many people were and we think we've already had this virus. Since they aren't allowing visitors in US hospitals, I wouldn't want to be admitted unless I was critical. We've few masks here, either. I heard another doctor say today that quinine and Zinc have been shown to be effective, taken 4 times a day at 250mg of Zinc. Schwepps tonic water contains quinine if that's all that can be found.

MA M there isn’t enough resources for all of us to have the best treatment, so we have to be seen as more expendable out of necessity. We could all have that, but we chose to vote conservative as a nation. And poor distribution of resources is what we always get from too many successive conservative governments. Every country appears to have been very slow to act even when they could look at other countries and see how bad things could get. My worry is we will do the same with bacterial infections. Scientists are already warning that bacteria are becoming resistant to antibiotics. And our response has been minimal, just like with the initial response to this. I think we need to hit much harder on antibiotic control now, and much harder on farming/market practices in China...etc to prevent even bigger disasters in future.

They have seen the flattering of the curve. Really? Because they are not increasing the amount of new tests. Just increase the new tests per day and you will see the curve is not getting better. The tests just can't keep up with the rate of new infections.

Incresing the tests will OBVIOUSLY increase the positives, so what? You cannot measure the evolution taking into account data brought by different ways to measure. The only number to take into account to know how it is evolving is the number of people hospitalized and yes, lockdowns are reducing that number day by day after the third week

Really sad but a disaster waiting to happen. Surely the US numbers must be higher as their health system is so fragmented and there are so many people who can't even afford to call an ambulance so will die at home. Their diet is also unhealthy with huge levels of obesity much like the UK. Obese people have poorer immunity to anything - the body is too busy trying to cope with basic functions that are impaired by the unnecessary weight, never mind novel viruses. It's a wake up call for all to manage their health better in case pandemics happen again.

I have to disagree with Anthony in that poorer communities have worse health care....it is actually the opposite. Poor Americans are eligible for Medicaid which gives them full coverage. I have it as low income and I never had such good coverage. No co pay or any cost whatsoever. Most doctors take it. It is middle income Americans who have copays and large deductibles so avoid going. Poor people have the best medical care but a large % of poor people both black and white tend to be overweight and get related health issues.

My worry, if I was a doctor, would be the fact that he went 10 days with a high fever. This is a problem. He could have damaged his major organs because of it. The disease could have spread beyond the lungs. His handing over of power to Raab would indicate the seriousness of the situation. He probably is not conscious and this is worrying. If only he could send a tweet or something to indicate life.

B, 3.2% (conservatively) to 3.3% (liberally) of the tested positive 399,000 in the U.S. have died from it. It is a contact spread virus. Hand sanitizer, washing your hands frequently, and the common courtesy of sneezing into your elbow and away from other people will stop the spread as effectively as any other measure.
If the Prime minister left *"clear instructions"* or a *"clear plan"* I would very much like to see that. Clear plan/instructions, should be simple enough to put in writing.
