I just bought the Pace 2 a month ago, replacing my Garmin Forerunner 45. It is SUCH an improvement. The battery life is amazing. I love the way it looks, it finds GPS much, much faster, the Bluetooth connection always works with my iphone, which for some reason was often an issue with my Garmin: I'd have to turn off the phone and turn it on again to reestablish the connection. I also love the Coros's overall look (I have the dark blue rubber band) . So many cool watch faces to choose from. For me, the two-button design is also much better. I also appreciate the Pool Swim option since I also swim. Sometimes the link to Strava is a little slow but it always works (with Garmin it linked up immediately). Very happy I made the switch. (Wanted to add: since I always run with an iPod shuffle clipped to my waistband, I never used the music feature in my Garmin Forerunner so I don't miss it at all.)
I’m glad you switched as well. You highlighted almost all the reasons why o switched. Not having music is sometimes annoying but I have a waist band that can hold my phone.
The watch is still good but the thing I notice now is the battery does not last long now at all. I switched to the coros pace 2 and it’s been great for a running only watch and the battery lasts weeks. They did release a newer version of the forerunner but I have yet to test that.
Great review! I currently have a 245 music. NEVER have once used the music on it since I always feel safe having my phone on a run or Apple Watch. I’m really looking to get a Coros. I run and do weights/cardio is this Watch good for that?
Thanks Nina! Coros is almost a pure running watch but it can more than handle weights/cardio. It does have those sports as options and the cool thing is in the coros app it shows your muscle heatmap to give you better idea of how your weight training is.
