I am a communications major and I intend to get a masters and/or PhD, if not just bachelors. I’m learning more that this fits me perfectly. Innovation, creativity, and motivation was always something I wanted to bring to the companies I worked for, but a lot of managers were complacent and didn’t care about the people, only that we got things done. Even working at an Amazon, Nike, and FedEx Warehouse I learned that managers may do the bare minimum to make you feel like you’re making a difference, but overall don’t care or have a passion about the people or REAL progression. Just finishing a task at the end of a day and pushing us without true genuine motivation. I’ve been witnessing that Communications is a great field to bring new ideas to the table, and all my professors in the subject were very genuinely excited and passionate about what they were able to be involved in, whether media, speech, or English in itself. I love the opportunities that are growing in our academic society.
