I fixed mine by just replacing the original rubber ring on the back of that bit with an o-ring from a universal air conditioning o-ring Kit. One one each side
ReverendFrogF1 Great video but i think when I removed the sunroof to repair the little hammer properly the mechanism and cables have become totally misaligned. do you have guidance as to how to reset them and what... sorry i pressed the wrong button and lost your comment. the way to reset your sunroof is to remove the sunroof lid and motor ( impontant step make sure motor is removed) and then physically slide the two holders for the sunroof all the way up and so the holders for the SUNROOF are in the TILT position. then plug your motor into the sunroof cable power but not into the sunroof, and press up the motor will spin when it stops press it again and it will spin a bit more. ( it might or might not spin the second time) now the MOTOR is in the TILT position. now you can reattach the motor into the sunroof frame and it should all work add me on facebook and i can help you more if you need facebook.com/impondering
email me and i can send you some pics impondering@gmail.com or build thread www.autostadt.ie/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=162&t=14271&sid=bb1488844de7a93103e90fc416225ceb
ya my guess is the arm is broken where it slides on the deck. so rather that going up and down becasue its split in half, one part is "pushing" the broken part , making your roof go up but when your press down, where its split one part is getting left behind, leaving one half if your room still up. thats what happened on my first corrado sunroof, im put in a whole new roof. if you do take the lid off press up and down your might seee it. also the long (30cm long arms) read the serial code on them. mine were different codes and had different profiles. so if you do buy a new sunroof down throw away the old oneas your may need one ofthose 2 arms if again the new sunroof has different arms codes
Also read the code on the long arm that attaches to the lid. Somethings from the factory they have different codes and different profiles which makes the lids sit crooked
