This video was a lifesaver. I was struggling but your tip at the very end gave me an idea. Since I knew I was gonna wash them off after man handling them, instead of using a hair dryer, I just ran the frames under slightly hot tap water to warm them up and make them easier to manipulate and the new lenses popped right in. Science!

I found it easier to push the top in first, then the bottoms when installing the replacements on my frogskins

C Douglas This is the easiest way of replacing the lens, then gradually working your way round the frame.

i just got my green antifreeze frogskins with black iridium lenses and i can see my eyes looking through them and stuff i dont want to see. Can i get lenses that block that stuff out or is it just the shape of the sunglasses that do that

@artistar71 No, they won't fit the original Frogs(metal hinges, made in Japan and flat script), nor do I believe they'd fit the nineties version(made in the US) and they definitely won't fit the New Frogskins(made in the mid nineties, with flat ear-stems). They will only fit the Collectors Frogskins circa 2008-

By Original Frogskin, aren't you referring to the 1st Generation Frogs which have metal hinges and flat logos? You're referring to New Frogskins .here, which have the plastic(o-matter) hinges and raised logos.

This worked great - thanks! I microwaved some water and soaked the frames in it for about a minute and the lenses popped in pretty easily.

I know that this isnt topical but I wanted you to see it. What color lens do you think would suit a pair of frogskins that have blue clear frames. I was thinking either the Green Polarized, The purple Polarized, the red polarized or the purple polarized.

Do you guys know if it is possible to buy the frame separately? Not the whole frame, just the "sticks" on the ears. I've bought a pair of Frogskins in orange/blue and I'm now interested in replacing the orange part with a matching blue part? It would be cool to personalize and design your own Frogskins..

QUESTION: I have a pair of 90s frogskins, pretty positive they're generation 1 - (they have metal hinges and "OAKLEY" is screenprinted on the sides, not raised). Anyway, wondering if oakley frogskin lenses are universal? Can i buy a newer pair and exchange the lenses without issue? Thanks for any answers!!

OK, I hate to ask this question, but will these replacement lenses fit the Frogskin RE-ISSUES that are currently on the Oakley website (2011 release). They have plastic hinges and raised "Oakley" text on earpieces at temples. My new Frogskins (just bought them last month - September 2011) look exactly like the Frogskins in this video.

um dude. no offence. but vintage frogskins have metal hinges. vintage refering to the original frogskins in the 80s and not the bring backs in the 90s.

Very unsatisfied with mine. These lenses are a joke. They aren't even the right size. They rattle around in the frames and fall out. Spend a few more bucks and get the real Oakley lenses.
