I enjoy tau because they are the nice guys overall and I love gauss/railgun type weapons. They aren’t perfect and they get fucked up in lore for it. I don’t like how people just are like oh big web mech let’s add 10 and it kinda works. I wasn’t there when the tau was just overpowered so I can understand people during that time hating tau. I don’t like elder because I don’t like playing them they are to squishy. I love speed and close to medium combat but I don’t play chaos cause it’s to edgy for me to spend money on. I still like the armies I talked about above it’s just not the best for my play style like the blood angels and custodies.

I've always liked the idea of a craftworld Eldar getting so righteously furious at the great evil pinky that they declare for Khorne. Sure, it's a different kind of damnation, but Khorne would love to spite the addict while getting a wrathful soul. Ditto with an Eldar making a calculated pact with Tzeentch to combat the party fiend. And I think they could hold onto those souls while fending back the "divine" table dancer.

One thing I love about this video? Majorkill name dropping the Lion with the implication he's what the Imperium needs to punch the Tyranids in the face. In large part, as a personal opinion, because the Lion would get his sons' shit together.

I actually have a theory that the Tyranids are just a deep space race that evolved on dark planets on the outskirts of the galaxy and perhaps had to evolve to the point of being able to handle the conditions in the galaxy proper before they could start eating everything. Although that leaves it's own set of questions such as could there be other unknown species in the darkness? But may also answer other questions, like why hive fleets sometimes compete with each other.

There is a mention of a Subject 11 in the Dark Cells in the new Custodes Codex, so one of the Lost Primarchs might still be alive but locked up and probably in stasis or something, BUT THIS IS JUST A (POTENTIAL) THEORY, A PRIMARCH THEORY!!!

I have to argue on the Agriworld as better than most point, from the books I've read the only one that isn't horrible is Gudrun, every other one is just.......Hiveworldesque. The whole planet is usually given over to industrial agriculture, the air is filled with poisonous chemicals which help the crops but mutate the workers. Beyond that is the constant overpowering smell of plant distress pheromones, like the most intense smell of fresh cut grass, and rotting plant matter. Similar to a hive world, the workers have to toil extensively long hours because their produce is needed just as much as the guns are from the forges. Life is generally pain on an Agriworld, I would honestly probably go as follows: Pleasure World, Civilized World (various types), Feudal World, Cemetery World.

09:04 at this point my Warhammer 40k knowledge base expanded, there is more than two types of worlds in the Imperium of Man, pleasure Worlds agriculture Worlds death worlds and prison Worlds. I thought the 40K Millennium was filled with hive worlds and forge Worlds only. I thought this universe was perpetual war and darkness but now everything has changed after watching this video. 🤤

The gist I've gotten is that he's overselling the average standard of living, buuuuuut it is out there more than the memes, jokes, and story focuses show. After all, some of those worlds are feudal (especially the agri worlds), and I'm averaging on population, not planets. Saying that the 'nids aren't a big deal then saying that the Silent King isn't an existential threat because he's too worried about the 'nids doesn't track. Either the 'nids really are still yet to come in force and the Silent King was rightly worried enough to turn back from his self-imposed exile, or the Former Supreme Commander of the unyielding race of terminators armed with tank killing weapons at minimum, who has been awake longer than any other, has gone soft and panicked over a manageable problem instead of continuing his walk-away. Not very good writing or a credible character. 40k doesn't necessarily do math good well when it comes to art or force sizes. I can buy that they wrote up more 'nids than should be possible. Probably more 9:43 than 11:11. The Imperium may be written as walking over the opposition (having big E wake and smack Nurgle around), but they will be written to return to their back feet. In the Grim Darkness of the 42nd millennium, there can be no victor. "More skilled than special forces" Ha! I admit, the Guard are brave (which is not the absence of fear, but standing strong in spite of it), and the lasgun is truly a mighty weapon by modern standards, but no. They are given shit intel and sometimes to often worse leadership. Their training, for most, is probably minimal, though those who survive are probably able to learn as they go. Sure, some of them are well trained by their environment, but to call the majority more skilled than USN Seals or SAS? That is horse shit. Besides, that's what the best Guardsmen and the Scions are for. I think the Tau can survive without the Ethereals, but not thrive, especially not on their current level and in the face of a galaxy gone mad. They'd have progressed to this level given time, but not as quickly.
