Just a bit of info about using any kind of pepper spray or mace. Spray the person directly in the eyes then quickly move ten ft. to either side after they close there eyes. This is so they can't rush you and make an attack in return. As soon as they put there hands over there face (this will happen fast) spray there hands. This is so they can't use there hands to wash there eyes out. Wile maintaining a safe distance of 8" to 15 ft. if the person starts to yell or scream at you use this time to mist the pepper spray above there head. This will make them inhale the spray and shut them down so they can't hurt you or someone else. Then leave. I hope this makes your aggressors day a bad one.

"This will make them inhale the spray"?? Nothing will make them inhale the GEL that this video is about. I guess that goes along with using "There" all the places that it should be "Their".

Never thought about moving to the side. Seems to be an obvious thing to do now that you say that. If you watch videos of this in real situations, the defender sometimes goes straight back and the attacker tries to charge forward. Good advice.

I used this stuff in a road rage incident. I’m a small guy, pretty useless in a fight. So someone pulled out in front of me, and I blew the horn because I can never keep my mouth shut. He stopped in front of me, got out, and walked up to my truck yelling obscenities . I kept it in gear, and as soon as he got within about 3 feet, sprayed him and drove off In cowardly victory . Took a few looks in the mirror, and it looked like the stuff was very effective

Hello all, that's me, John McNitt in the video. To answer your question about what I put on my face; It's Sabre's two step decontamination product. Step one is a wash and step two is a soothing agent. The stuff works! Everyone that has the possibility of being exposed to OC at work should keep it in their lunch bag. I keep mine with me in the prison.
@Harlem55
@Harlem55 7 лет назад
Wait- Don't they specifically tell you NOT to use anything other than copious amounts of water and fresh air to decontaminate this stuff? I've heard that most of the decon products are practically useless.
@JPM2105
@JPM2105 7 лет назад
John Doe I always heard that too, but the stuff worked. 15 min after I used the product, I was good to go with no effects
@Harlem55
@Harlem55 7 лет назад
That's relatively interesting- especially since you rubbed your face, which if anything would aggravate the effects. Mind you I've accidentally sprayed myself while driving (due to a trigger-unit getting hung up on the chord of the mic for my in-car radio at the time) - and while I didn't get a full blast of the spray, It was enough of a taste of it for my likings, to say the least. Needless to say, I also learned the hard way the value of the flip-top unit, as opposed to the trigger or the "cop-top" units.

FYI: keep in mind those time laps after contamination is based solely upon him getting proper water and what ever that material/soap was to wash off with was. In a real world setting - who ever gets sprayed more than likely will not have such materials around for decontamination - moreover if that person is being sprayed (( offensively )) by police etc whereas they are trying to subdue and not get away - other words if some gets sprayed in a real world scenario they will have the product on them for a far monger period and therefor the burning affects will be far more severe.

The tiny sabre red can that i purchased has a weak pocket clip so thats why i go for the sheath method. The sheath actually came with a mini Maglite (2AA) i purchased awhile back. It works perfectly. Tho at first its a tight squeeze. It will eventually break in. Go buy a tiny can of Sabre and a Maglite AA. They go hand in hand.

It will work on anything that breathes. As the video shows, it does take several seconds to incapacitate someone. Don't expect the bad encounter to end instantly. Spray-Get somewhere safe-Call the police! The first person to call it in gets believed! Don't let the "perp" call in their story, and get believed, first. Also, and I say this gently and with brotherly love, don't feel safe. Be prepared. A can of spray won't make you safe but it can help you be prepared for a bad situation.

I've Ben sprayed twice by the pepper gel and foam. I work security in a facility where there are a lot of people around so we carry pepper foam. Well somehow the latch that is suppose to stay latched unlatched itself and discharged in my pocket. Had no idea until I wiped the sweat off my face with my hand that I guess touched that soaked pocket. Lol fuck me that was a shitty night

When I was in law enforcement I got pepper sprayed (mandatory) and tasered (voluntary). I'll take pepper spray any day.

That Iam2 If you need to spray a dog, spray the nose, it is much more sensitive and will be more effective.
