Corruption is much more than simply a financial crime or a moral failing, says human rights lawyer Lova Unge. It has the potential to undermine the achievement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and is a great threat to human rights and we have to do everything we can to end corruption. Drawing on her personal experience in South America, Lova argues that we need to do more to combat corruption to be able to achieve a sustainable development and guarantee human rights for everyone, especially for the most vulnerable. Lova Unge is an experienced lawyer with a particular interest in human rights, anti-corruption and sustainability in general. She spent two years in Peru working for human rights NGOs and for the United Nations. She has also spent over ten years working at law firms in Sweden focusing on labor law, business and human rights. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Great resume of the situation. Also my experience related to my 2024 trip to Peru. Also, corruption is a global problem, often "exported" from low to higher risk countries,
