I wished Corsair did not compromise on the USB-A port thing as it did follow along with NZXT H510 series and BeQuiet 500DX. Front USB-A headers are intended to take on 2 ports and for this case along with the mentioned cases only have one port for a header that can support two ports. A USB-A 3.0 port costs are negligible and besides there are still many thumb drives still using the legacy port for cost purposes.
@@BigSalv The case is awesome, the glass is tinted but you can see any type of rgb thru it no problem. You can only mount two 120 or two 140 with low profile ram. If you want 3 look for the 5000x. If you have more question I can help.
@@NukaNilo How has the case been? Has cooling or fan noise been a problem? I want the RGB version of this case, but the Airflow seems to make more sense for cooling and noise.
@@AndrewScarella Ive had no problems with my case, I mostly got it for the looks,, I got me a commander pro for the fan speed, nothing in my system gets hot, but I also don't have anything crazy in there.
Nah. Cut-out fronts are no longer good enough with a dust filter. They only give praise to ultra fine mesh fronts now. Still they will be glad it's not glass. Already it performs worse than the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh, and is priced about the same.
The dust filter pushing up against the fans with noise issue is a too often reoccurring problem I've heard of with this case. If Corsair has taken care of this problem, then I'll consider buying this case(white 4000D Airflow).
Looks to me like they took their older iCue and airflow compact cases and mated them with an NZXT H500/H510 and got this. A solid case, if not too original. Great review though, guys!
It seems like they listened few of feedbacks from 465X but still missing the point that motherboard and top of panel is not comfortable. Also what is that gray tone on the front in 4000x? I mean come on you could do it better. Black one (4000x) is fine but white and gray not quite ok. Good job on airflow and cable management side, I actually liked cable thingy.
I got a question, with the 4000 case, if you are using the cpu fan cooler just like you have in the video, is there still enough space for you to install other two fans on top of the case? Looks like it’s very tight there, what do you think?
Interesting Corsair design again, Why doesn't the RGB have the airflow front included. What a great option that would be to be able to switch the look depending on how much cooling you want.
For the space available for a front 360 rad, you mention about 65mm approx. available total depth. How precise would you say that is, I want to fit a 38mm rad + 25mm fan which is 63mm, thoughts?
i just got my corsair 4000d airflow and the plastic on the front panel is cheap and came cracked and half the clips that hold the grey piece on are broken. so be aware of the cheap quality of the plastics. other than that the case is amazing and airflow is on point.
I'm torn between the rgb version or the nzxt h510 elite, I want the kraken x53 so I'm leaning towards nzxt given the rgb fans with that case looks great in the AIO
Nice review , But Corsair please : Plain-gray its horrible , small space between the motherboard and the top of the case , cheap plastic and fan grills on the front , no fan Hub or fan controller ,idk why i have to chose those cabinets explecially the non-airflow.
It's the same chassis so they will fit. You can also just buy the 4000x and later buy the front airflow panel as an accessory from Corsair. Have not fount it yet on their website, but other say they should be selling the front panels as replacement parts.
is there any real difference in the front panels besides the holes? asking cause im wondering if its possible to buy the front panel from a airflow & slap it on a regular.
I’m sure manufacturers love it when buyers accept manufacturing defects but I don’t. It’s brand new and they said themselves it’s a defect so it’s going back to them.
@@helljester8097 Heres a solution. Don't use shit stock fans. Use noctua fans with the rubber anti vibration pads they come with, this will create some separation and are far more quite than stock fans. who the hell actually uses stock fans when they spend so much money to build a new system, have no idea why people skimp on fans lol. Also, you can contact corsair and they will legit just send you a new filter for free that passed QC. Its a new product and when you buy new you have to accept unforeseen issues until they correct them in the month after. This is a filter..its not the end of the world, there any many fixes and this case is one of the best designed cases in a long time by them. Its compact, great airflow, and looks minimalist. There are few cases on the market that offer this without looking stupid. NZXT is great looking, but a great way to cook toast in the case unless you go with the 710.
@@maddawgzzzz I’m sending them the filter to get a new one I’m not tearing down my computer to send back the case. As for fans thanks but got my next fans planned out already along with a 360 rad I want to install in the front.
@@TheGauges420 mans speaks the truth. You'd be better off investing in parts that manage thermals more efficiently themselves. ie. Asus TUF X570 paired with a solid case(either this one, the Lancool Mesh 2 or other low 50 C cases) an Arctic liquid freezer 2 AIO or EK AIO, and proper fan set-up.
I don't think it's that bad. Looks like they opted for 1 USB A port and 1 USB C port. On some of their other cases (ex. 465x which I just bought), there are 2 USB A ports but no USB C ports, which there are a lot of complaints about since USB C is the way things are going. Personally, I would rather have the 1 USB A port and 1 USB C port, since whatever mobo you go with will have plenty of USB ports available, and USB hubs are readily available if you need more USB connections.
I have no idea why this was on my sugested feed.... Maybe someone decided my thermaltake core p7 needs to be replaved by this and i need to trow away or just hang my 3x480 rads....
