“Influence a positive narrative shift.” Cortnie is a doctoral student in the Human Development and Family Science program in the College of Human Sciences. She credits her time working in The Graduate School at FSU as the catalyst for the start of her PhD studies. Her research focuses on personal and family finances and how the two impact mental & physical health as well as interpersonal relationships. Cortnie aims to discover ways to improve the quality of human life.
Post PhD, Cortnie wants to pursue a career as a higher education professor and licensed marriage and family therapist with a specialization in personal finance healing.
