A very, very prudent engine mod and re-build. Didn't hear much about the motor, but I did see it (starter motor). But the Corvair Engine looked great! Like to hear it purrrr.
Thanks for the video but the music in the background is very annoying, a mistake that too many people make on You Tube, we are interested in the subject, not hearing other peoples music, very distracting when we are trying to hear what you are saying. Good luck with the engine
Jose G A I got one of this engines still in the car totalled the front but engine was good hut has been sitting in a backyard since 1966 needs cleaning the cover since its rusted
Is a stock oil cooler have short comings. When it comes to air cooled motors leaving off tin parts because you think they look silly and you think you don't need them is a bad idea. Trust me when I say if it didn't need it Chevy wouldn't have put them on and saved money
Wise words Scott. GM spent much time figuring out the cooling details. If you want an external cooler may I suggest looking into a true dry sump system. Jus' sayin
I'll never understand why people spend so much cash on such shitty cars/engines. Hope you got some good memories from one of these oddball motors to justify spending enough money to rebuild 4 Chevy 350s.
