Nice to see another Z owner updating their rides! Could have given you a heads up on your install. Couple years ago I put Van Steel coilovers and new 19” Fikse’s on my Admiral Blue 94 Z. Carter2000 from the ZR-1 Registry makes a front sway bar relocation bracket that moved my front sway perfectly and gave plenty of clearance for the front coilovers. Looks great! Keep the Legend Alive👍🏻
Beautiful! Could you please give more info on the wheels and tires. I put the same coil overs on my 96 with Grand Sport flares and wheels. Looking to upgrade... thanks
Nice to hear someone showing passion for the C4. I was going to buy a new Grand Sport. I found my C4 and haven’t looked back. I’m sorting it out completely. Like you said,if you mention to someone you have a C4 a ragged out piece of crap comes to mind.
Glad to see a new Snake Skinner video today. I'm interested to see if your handling improves significantly. This is an upgrade I've been considering for my '96 LT-1 C4. Good to hear you're a machinist too. Your ZR-1 is looking great. Take care Bud.
Your C4 is looking Amazing. You did the c4 Justice. They are sweeter than most anybody has realized yet.Anyways I'd love to know about your wheel and tire size and the offsets and brands.Your vision is spot on .
Hey Chris. I've been wondering what you've been up to on my favorite Corvette of yours, which was the reason I subscribed in the first place. You are hitting all the proverbial nails on the head with your mods/upgrades. FWIW I remember when you ceramic coated it and was blown away by that itself. You've had the ZR1 for a while now and I guess you plan on holding on to it for awhile longer? Get those corners aligned soon. We're losing driving weather fast now. Save the Wave.
I remember when you had that trailered to your house.....Attention to detail is very impressive....I'm a fellow 91 ZR-1 owner blk/blk with 440 to the rear wheels..... Its true about the C-4 generation, not many are taken care of, seems to be the Bastard generation ...... I have owned mine for 4 years now and prices like many vettes are just down, period......Even C 6ZR-1s are chopped in half from original sticker price.....I think that has a lot to do with the C7Z06 which are going for low 60's basically for a clean one... Great job with the Z....
I ordered a set of calipers 6 piston front and back with rotors from Wilwood and they just about ripped my eyes out!! Your set up looks bad ass…. Who makes the wheels? What size?? Wow….what did you do abou the ride control unit? Did you get the code and suspension control removed as well?
Bought a mint 96 Collectors Edition a month ago. I know wheels are Racing Hart 19's but what model? I need something to freshen the look up. Something just isn't right and i am very critical so those wheels and the stance are perfection sir. Please let me know. Thank you for your time!!
Hello sir, I had messaged you a few months ago, any more specific details on the wheels? Love the look. Thinking about selling my C4 for a C6, but you just don’t see many clean C4’s on the road these days! Thanks for your time!
hey whatup man im thinking of doing coils on my c4 aswell but was just going to buy the brackets to try and save some money on qa1's. would others bolt up easier you think?
So I am really curious how your Brake Set up perform's...?! I am doing the Front of my 95 LT1 simillar: I took the whole Set up of the c7 J55/Z51! The Calipers are the same like yours. But the C7 Rotors are wider. But the Caliper is still 8mm too far away in relation to the OEM C7 mounting points. Post up a Video of how the Car performs now. BTW: Beautiful ZR1 build!
Hi Chris, nice to meet you!!! Really really a beautiful car!!! I think the coil over is the best solution to lower the zr1!! I'm from Italy and have a 1990 zr1, I have b&b exhaust too!! How do you install correctly the mufflers? Mine are not in good position!!!
Completely agree with you. If you can't afford to do the proper maintenance and upkeep on your vette then sell it to someone who can. Better yet, don't get one in the first place.
I had a major problem trying to get the spanner wrenches on the rear. Did you have the same problem? There is like zero chance they will even go on, let alone spin. There is just no clearance to get the spanner wrenches on.
Hey- great job. I have a ‘91 ZR-1 and love it. What did you do with the FX3 when you went with the vansteel? Does it throw a code or anything with that removed?
Love the Car man! I've been looking into coil overs on my (daily driver) C4 and I've heard people say you need to "Brace" the mounts I was wondering if you have done anything like that or if you can drive it normally.
I've heard that as well, I personally didn't see the need for it and mine are just fine. It does get a little harsh and a little bouncy, if its a daily driver I would caution against it
Nice mods but you need to get into the LT5 and port out the plenum and injector housing if you haven't already. That and swap out the 3.45 cogs for 4.10's. It will wake up the beast.
Wow, that's cool. Are they casting new heads / blocks? Who is making the engines? Mercury ? Do they take your engine and bore it out, or can you just buy one? Can you get one without a core ? How cool would it be to have an LT-5 in a base model C4? Sorry for all these crazy questions first thing in the morning. Thank you
I love the videos! But man you have to get a new camera to document that beauty, that fisheye lens is not good. But what a gorgeous car keep up the good work.
People run what they can afford....not everyone has thousands laying around to spend on parts. I've never seen trashed out C4 on the road but to say sell it unless you can fix it up to your standards is bullshit plain and simple. Nice car but save the drama.
