I owned two. It is a very simple, great looking car with lots of emotions. But hell, it has some stupid problems and its build quality as the interior is just garbage. Would never buy it again.
@@barno978 I too tend to lean European but have owned American muscle. I’ve driven the C5-C7 generations and the C6 really was a great combination of old school with just enough modern. An updated infotainment unit goes a long way with the interior. For the price, really hard to argue with.
@@Nelbone Absolutely agree, I've never owned a C6 myself but a close friend of mine had one a few years ago (manual) I drove it a few times and man I still think about that car from time to time

Recently went on the Autobahns...last being 2019 and I was surprised how German Drivers have really slipped in their discipline on the Autobahn. Saw numerous examples of drivers stepping into the overtaking lane at 100kmh or similar with fast cars approaching.Stay safe.
I went in 2006 during the world cup. On the A1 out of Munich, the driver discipline was surgical. I returned in 2020 and saw what I assumed were American drivers doing all sorts of dumb crap.
The population make up has also changed. Millions of people imported from the middle east & africa by the left wing EU governments & thousands of US feds & military industry share the Autobahn. The Americans are easily identified as they're the only ones driving imported Christler, Doge, & minivan junk. I drive on 2 lane unrestricted Autobahn slot & the biggest risk is slow drivers that don't pay attention to anything moving into the left lane.
You really need to test an LS3 with the motor completely redone with bolt-ons: heads, cam, intake, exhaust, and tuning. Those cars end up in the 575hp range and will pull to 7k with ease, more than enough to blow through the 200mph barrier, even in a Grand Sport widebody.
@@MyRealName Max I would do safely is 180 km/h , I did some emergency braking cause fools were costantly cutting me. If people didn't cut others you could do 350 with ease.
@@dimmacommunicationyeah but if your driving 180mph it’s going to be hard for someone to judge that distance closing when changing lanes … I’d say the car doing near 200mph with cars around is more in the wrong
@@CPAJayhawk My friend, 180km/h is 111 mp/h ,not that much. Rule of thumb is to always check the left lane as in autobahn there's unlimited speed, enche you can find people going 220mph even... I've seen videos of people going 250mph on modded twin turbo R8s ...

310 KPH real GPS speed is like 325 KPH on an American car's speedo. That quick for a C6 considering C5 and C6 are much better looking than C7 and C8. Interior trim is great too, nice and simple, makes you feel like a driver
The wide body c6s look awesome but in truth is not as fast as the base model body horsepower being equal. I have hade over 20 vettes in my day and loved my 08 ,zo6 above all the others,it was a monster with just cold air and tune. Like I said though the wide bodies have to much down force and drag.
So do heads and Cam and I guarantee you'll get another 200 horsepower out of a boosted application and you could always go with a hundred shot of nitrous
