I can not be held liable if you choose to follow these suggestions 🤣😎 Oil & Filter change 1:25 mark Transmission fluid change 7:56 mark Differential fluid change 11:15 mark
That c-clip was pretty smooth lol. That zip tie idea is 🔥🔥🔥!!! I actually had my trans cooler line pull out at the connection up by the oil filter on my 2012 c6z!!! Unreal, it almost caught fire while making a pull.
I’ve heard there is one near the cooler but we did not do that. I bought my car with low miles and had my trans replaced with a built TR6060. We do our fluids every year regardless of mileage and honestly it looks new when I drain it. Just peace of mind. Let me know if you end up finding/doind the filter that some say is near the cooler.
How much oil is your catch can picking up? I just picked up a 13 GS and debating installing one. Had one on my previous cars but they were all turbo and/or direct injected.
@@that427dude good to know thanks for the reply. Mine only has 23k on the clock so it seems like a good investment to keep it running clean as long as possible 👍🏻
No. My trans builder prefers GM. My buddy just happens to use amsoil. The part number for the T56 and TR6060 fluids are the same as far as I understand.
My trans and diff was built by RKT performance and he recommends AC DelCo so considering what I paid him to build them I listened to him. My buddy in the video uses AMS in his car. In the video I just happened to use the AMS bottle because it worked better with the pump we were using, I just put the AC Delco in the AMS bottle.
is it true you need to run the car in 2nd for a min when doing the tranny and diff on a c6 manual or do you just drop it down and drive to do figure 8s to get the fluid going.
I just filled it until we started to get dripping from the fill hole, capped it, and did figure 8's. Never had any issues. Have changed the fluid 3 or 4 times now since ownership.
Do you have to run the oem acdelco fluid or can I run mobile one diff lube or anything else it seems you have to order the..oem stuff online I would like to use mobile one not sure if it needs additional friction modifiers or what not sure
@@roygordon4946 I run the OEM fluids per my transmission builder. I spent over $10k on a built TR6060, rebuilt TT, and clutch so I just listened to the builder who does this daily. He said the synchros like the OEM fluids best.
