When working the top of the car and windshield I find lifting the wiper blades gives better access to the lower glass and cowl area. Great job and washing tips.

It looks cold there today! I have a rubber mat I cover the rear glass and bonnet vents, it is a battery shop mat and made out of rubber like you find in an inter tube and is large enough to cover the glass and vents with about a six inch overlap all around! You didn’t wipe down the water in the engine compartment. I normally don’t need to but I cover the vents when I wash mine!

I just use damp towels to cover the vents and only lightly hose/spray around the back glass

That's not a bad idea at all. We were initially avoiding the vents but after talking to GM guys we confirmed it's 100% okay, so we take their word for it.

A blower is an awesome way to dry a car. It also gets water out of cracks and drip zones like behind mirrors. Just don’t get out of control with air.

Someone or manufacturer should use a 3-D printer to make covers that go over the engine vents when washing.

Mmr’s are they 19”-20” or 20”-21”

19/20 (we re-used the factory tires)

Apparently you guys don't mind water spots in the engine bay, on the engine cover, glass partition behind the cockpit etc.. I do. It looks terrible! That's why I always cover my vents. before washing.
