When I got my first job as a teacher I ordered a 1976 Corvette. Four months later it arrived at the dealership - $9300 out the door - more than a years salary, but hey I was single. It was mahogany(maroon) with a tan leather interior. It had the 4 speed - T-tops - and the same special order wheels as yours. It was a blast to drive, but not in our Ohio winters. I drove it on short trips and to grad school in the summers. I sold it 32 years later with less than 30,000 miles to a man who was doing a project car with his high school aged son - I think that they had a great time working on the vette. I remember a couple of problems that drove me crazy - the fact that it was so low it hit a lot of driveway entrances and it had a tendency to not start unless some wiring harnesses were jiggled a bit. What a great story! I’m just sad it ended with you selling it! For sure, you have to enjoy tinkering if you own one of these. Even after all the work I’ve done to this, things keep turning up. Now have a small leak on a heater hose and a flashing “door ajar” light. I’ll get these fixed and something else might turn up! Cheers!

Thank you James! I am definitely keeping it as original looking as I can-but some parts were worn out and needed replaced-and cleaned. In other words, some TLC. ❤️
