Step 1 is definitely get snow tires or all season tires. And wider tires are generally worse than narrower ones because you want more weight on a smaller area. Step 2 is to do what we used to do back in the 1980s and earlier before front wheel drive became the norm. Load one or two heavy, dense bags of sand into the trunk of your car over the rear wheels. The increased weight over the drive wheels will give you more traction. Step 3 is give yourself 6 seconds' stopping distance between you and other vehicles or red lights. Step 4 on the Corvette is to switch to Weather mode. Also, best not to drive in freezing rain at all, in any car.
People laugh about why I want Quattro, 4matic, etc, but this is why. Can't beat having AWD in the rain and snow. If I was buying a Z06, I'd definitely have another car to drive in the snow. Granted I'm up north.
A Toyota camery with winter tires is really hard to beat when you to keep salt and dirt from messing up the exterior of your hyper, super,ultra or just everyday sports car. Toyotas and hondas can really take the beating up north.
That was really risky taking the z06 out there in those conditions. Not only do you have to worry about your driving, but scarier, the people around you who can’t drive in that type of weather. Glad it didn’t get hit. Be careful.

You're a brave man driving a Z06 in the snow. You're right a Stingray may be a little better because the tires are not as wide. If you had to go up the slightest hill you wouldn't make it. The real risk is someone would probably slide into you. My advice park it until all the roads are clear.

I’m a put some winter tires on mine, I live in Montreal we about to get 20cm of snow, she will be my Daily Z06 2016 7 speed Manual of course 😂 . Coming from a Porsche Panamera Turbo as my last Car
Sport cup 2 tires on ZO6. Wet pavement traction non existent. Cold dry weather below 40 degrees times turn to stone. Below 20 they're prone having separating from sidewalls or cracking like glass. I wouldn't think of trying them on snow. I'll be replacing them soon with super sports.
