What frickin' beast! The acceleration is simply phenomenal, and what a great sound. I had a 92' Vette with only 300 hp, which was lots of fun, and this has over twice that much. How I'd love a ride in this American beauty.
Jesus this thing pulls as hard as my 1.2 liter bike. Its also one of the best handling cars ever built but still isn't miserable to ride in on the street. Well done.

Nice! Converting from km/h to mph. From 60mph to 165mph, it does it in approx. 15 seconds. It does it in about the same time as my 600hp C6 Z06. I raced my buddy's stock '09 ZR1. We were side by side and about 140mph, I started to pull away pretty hard...
I don't understand why people post stuff like this. Zr1 makes 550 to he wheel at best and it's heavier than the z06. If your car is lighter and makes 600hp at the wheel, why wouldn't it be faster? Stock for Stock zr1 is pulling you all day up to 200.
@@MrWisdom79 I said my C6 Z06 was 600 hp, but not at the wheels. Mine at the wheels was only 535 (so, not necessarily faster imo). Must of just been my camshaft that allowed it pull stronger up top vs. that stock 2300 blower.
Honestly corvettes are just fast, hate all u want but coming out of the factory with that much power with numbers to back it up, it represents true v8 power and for a 3rd of the price of its competitors
insane. this thing pulls as hard from 200-300 as my 335i from 100-200. and I don't feel underpowered. need to recalibrate my sense of "fast" apparently.

I feel sorry for those who claim it´s a fake. I´ve driven a ZR1 once and it IS real. If you don´t know what you´re talking about, just shut the hell up!
So what? My gsx-r1000 has 167km/h in 1st gear (It has 6 gear) 0-100 km/h in 2.6 seconds 0-200 km/h in 6.5 seconds 0-300 km/h in 16 seconds Yeah, it's a super fast stock missile.
well done...well done... the shifts are fucking slow but fuck, its incredible how fast it goes up to 300! the sound is also fine...the fuel consumption maybe not :D any one knows how much it drinks?
Z1 doing 0-200 in 10 sec? pfff so fake I can't even describe. That's on a dyno, if not, it's on a downhill. OR... the engine has been modified to carry on at least 1000 hp. Plus the guy has some balls to drive at 300 km/h without traction system.
ZR1 has supercharged engine from manufacturer, this ZR1 is not modded and not on a dyno... you don't need traction system turned on at 300km/h.. your wheels will not overspin at 5th and 6th gear on straight road :D
Traction control won't do anything for you at 300km/h.. At full throttle in 5th gear, you would need a lot of horsepower or some really bald tires to break traction. Unless you start sliding, and any competent driver would rather sort it out themselves than have an electronic nanny cut the power.

Well, there would be no need to build a 647 hp car, when its as fast as a Honda Civic, right? 8 cylinders, incredible torque and 647 hp are the reason for that awesome acceleration.
