True, but I just went to Atlanta with my family and friends to see this for real. Money well spent and it’s because I discovered them on RU-vid. It was THE MOST FUN concert I’ve ever been to.
ITS A THING !!! I have too many basses ... i usually play 2 i have too many guitars ... i only play them at home i have too many keyboards ... i only play them drunk at home i have a banjo ... i learned 2 songs on it and "intend" to return also theres a thing that the more people you have to get to help you unload the truck the less you feel bad
Cory, I’m your biggest fan (one of many I’m sure)…could I make a staging suggestion? From my purely subjective point of view, the fact that the horn section is behind your cases of spare guitars is for me really unpleasant. It seems like their place in the show and their value to the visual and auditory experience is not being respected - For me, these geniuses of music should be right up front with no barrier between them and the audience. Petar is rightfully up close and personal-not stuck in the back like many drummers - the amazing horns should not be stuck behind road cases either. Aesthetically and energetically, this, I feel, is a real oversight. And not to belabor the point, I feel the same about Sonny T (bass man-god). He can be in the same place, but can we find somewhere else for all the spares and little used instruments? Love to hear what others think. Cory your music is so inspired and joyfully infectious I just hope this suggestion notches it up just a bit more. (and I’m sure there might be other consideration that I’m not aware off.)
Preach! I can't think of any horns section that has made this big of an impact on me since the Marvel Vs Capcom 2 soundtrack, absolutely Killer! Also, if anyone knows of more good horns sections in other bands I need to be initiated.
Setlist 00:00 Overture (Flyers Direct) 2:54 Let’s go! 6:43 Cory Wong 12:18 Kennie and the jets 16:54 Direct Flyte 21:27 You got to be you 24:44 Light As Anything 29:37 Home
WHAT A BAND !!!! « Bennie and the jets »…just the best cover I’ve ever heard!! The Hornz are just amazing… Sonny is just one of the greatest bass player of all time…Prince knew it. And what a drummer…INCREDIBLE. So Happy to be at the OLYMPIA in Paris, France in october 2023 🙏🏼🇫🇷 Thanx CORRY to give us So much joy and happiness 🙏🏼
Figured I would watch a little of this while eating breakfast on my day off. I ended up watching the whole thing! The musicianship, the mix, and the energy are STELLAR! Never thought that a 1 camera concert shoot could be so engaging 😮
I gotta say, the light show coming thru, but not being blinding, from that angle, really helps. And the camera's slow movement around the front kept it lively... nice job
Too bad that Nêgah Santos was and is too busy right now with her other work (solo and with Louis Cato & The Late Show Band). I miss that special extra drive from her percussion.
Cory Wong and The Wongnotes are THE BEST band on this planet‼️ The music, precision and sheer joy on their faces is out of this world. I LOVE THIS BAND! PHENOMENAL‼️ ♥️♥️♥️🎸🎸🎷🎺🥁🎹🎶
The amount of talent on this state is staggering. I could have never imagined how brilliant Cory’s career could have went over the past 3 years. He is on a an absolute tear, and probably the most prolific creator of the culf family at this point, maybe with exception to Jack
Robbie Wulfsohn is an amazing Singer! Ripe is also awesome. Then you combine Cory Wong (and the band) with Robbie , this is just amazing. Please Corey , could you take Ripe with you here to Europe waiting for you at Paris October.
Awesome players!!! I just became aware……..definitely getting tickets for Boston. Hope the sound engineering team is on their game to deliver the best mix.
@@gregcavanaugh6259 Riffwise the more obvious choice, you are right - but I think PoL would work too, and be a little more subtle. But I may be wrong, have to go and listen again!
I can't believe I missed the Wongnotes show in Seattle :( I am very sad about that. Sonny is an amazing bass player, and he and I both rock the Warwick and Markbass gear :) so good! keep the beautiful music and good vibes flowing ya'll!
Wish I could have been there. But I had my daughters that night. Cory, I really loved getting to learn from you and watch you play at the G4 Experience. Thank you.
Sonny is so good! and I gotta say his gear is great, that Warwick and Markbass make a good combo, that's why I use those too! Also, Sonny's bass solo on the track Over the Mountain is one of the finest bass solos I have ever heard in my entire life.
@@markbass354 yeah! Sunny is specifically playing a Warwick Dolphin. I am 99% sure his was custom made, but you can find one! I looked at a few on eBay a while ago. Go for it! I have a Warwick Corvette, it’s not as cool as the Dolphin, but it still rocks.
They just gave me a Depends ad, and I didn't skip it... figured it was an appropriate product for the band to be sponsored by. Next you need to have ads from a product that stops my face from melting👀🤪😱🤡🗯👻
