Oh my- I was not expecting her to be so bright. Her smile absolutely radiates and that buzz just completely suits her. She seems so lovely and I wish you all the best. Keep having fun and smiling. This gave me a beautiful ending to my day. Also please never let that smile fade! I couldn’t see all of you but that goes for all of you even people reading this!
I know this is just a skit so maybe you don’t actually do this but I wanted to mention it in case I can help out other cosmetologists! Make sure when you’re cutting at a 0 degree angle that you always cut palm to palm (pull the hair down with your left hand, cut with the palm of your right hand facing the palm of your left hand). I’m a fairly new cosmetologist and I know we are taught this in cosmo school, but over time you start doing what feels right even if it’s not actually ergonomic. I was cutting palm to back of hand since I was a student thinking it would make the haircut straighter, and just 1 year into my first job I got carpal tunnel. It’s the worst and it’s very common. You can go on worker’s comp like myself but it won’t actually make your carpal tunnel go away. Your hands are your money makers in this industry, stay ergonomic and take care of your body and keep up the good work! 😊💕
I know the first part was a joke but someone actually gave me a haircut like that once and then sent me on my way, while saying how brave I was for getting it.
Yeah nope. I went to a salon 1 time n lost my waist long hair, with a miscommunication. Requested 2 or 3 inches trimmed off the bottom, and she "thought" we said from the shoulder.
Genuine question what are things you don’t expect but do happen in cosmetology school? I plan to start next year and would love the like crazy advice or the stuff to know before doing it info !
