Cosmic Fantasy Collection - 10 minutes overview. Menus, manuals, both games intro (Nintendo Switch) 

Both Japanese crowdfunders hit the threshold for localization. The second collection is coming later this year or early next.

To be frank, like the Valis Collection III the week before, it was shadow-dropped out of nowhere on the eShop. No publicity or fanfare. It's like Edia was sending them out there to die, which is sad :(

Same! I always knew this series existed, and as a Phantasy Star fan, I always wanted to play another old-school JRPG series that mix sci-fi and fantasy. I'm so happy this is finally happening, still can't believe it!

@@DracMazoku ahhh I love phantasy star as well! Sad part for me is I’m buying the limited run collectors edition and the vinyl ost, so it might be another year till I play it, but I’m excited :)

@@DracMazoku I just looked it up, if Cosmic Fantasy Collection 2 is released in English, it's an instant purchase for me. I've always wanted to play the later installments.

@@DracMazoku It took long enough, I'm a PC Engine fan. Far East of Eden: Ziria was recently fan translated to English and the sequel is apparently being translated as well, another great RPG series.

Its my first time playing those games. How do we access those ?

If you mean save states, no there's none in Cosmic Fantasy Collection. But the game do save like in the original. So you're stuck with the in-game save. There's also no QoL options from what I can see, so it's 100% like playing the originals. For Valis, you can check my compilation video of all 3 Collections. Save states all work correctly. @@DracMazoku Rephrase: Do either of the games on this collection remember your save files after you return to the main menu or the Switch's home menu? I remember hearing that the first Valis collection didn't do that because it used a save state to skip past the PC-Engine boot screen.

@@alder613 I just went back and checked, and yeah, my Drac save file I've created in the video is still there in the first game, so no worry there.

I don't know what is the problem with Edia. It's like they're sending their Collection to die. I know Cosmic Fantasy Collection was advertized for a physical release with LRG, but I never saw anything about the digital release for today. Only one week after they did the same with Valis Collection III. Promote more (and charge less).

@DracMazoku just glad it exists and there are sales/individual releases. Telenet was weird too.

@DracMazoku just saw it switch store for $50. I see what you mean, and no separate games this time. I'll wait for a sale, which they should've done to start launch week. No mention of quality of life too.

@DracMazoku thanks for confirming. There's no excuse they should charge a premium like ff pixel remasters. Heard someone complain the 2nd game had too many random encounters. Ninja jajamaru the lost rpgs had toggles and invincibility mode to plot through that.

I've heard about the series, but never played them. Cant wait to do so for the first time with this 😀
