Hi I have the same air fryer and the broil is American for grill, so when you use it on broil it's just the top that works. Enjoying your vids bye the way.
I use a square cake tin when I do my sausage rolls Kerry and both sides are done aswell. I often use the broil as it's a grill so it's very handy as only the top part heats us then. The app has loads of recipes and its great for browsing through. Another great informative vlog Kerry, thank you😊
I have the other cosori. You know, the ones that caught fire in the US. I'm happy with it though. Broil is American and it's grill for us. Can't wait to get some rhubarb, I make loads of crumbles in the air fryer. Only takes 10 mins. I cover will foil for first 6 mins so the crumble doesn't blow all over the place.
Ah top tip Kathryn💕, covering the crumble initially with foil love that idea - mine blew all over the place 1st time I made crumble😄I think only a very small number were affected but they recalled a lot as a precautionary measure (as far as I understand anyway🥴) Good airfryers imo😀👍
Sausages look scrumptious Kerry . My Ninja Speedi has a good size basket and my round sandwich cake tins fit ok in it. my friend received her Cosori Air fryer last week and I've now her watching your Chanel so hopefully increasing your well deserved subscriptions & thumbs up and dinging that bell ❤

Hiya lovely can't wait for your rhubarb crumble I done a rhubarb cake last week 😋 It wasn't your fault on the under side being a bit soft the under element only works on the bake settings as far as I'm aware handy to know for cakes and things have a great rest of week x
I love my air fryer, they are so handy to use. The sausage rolls looked lovely, what a difference taking the paper out made. The cosori seems to be a good machine
Those sausage rolls are brilliant . I make both Sausage Rolls and Cheese and Onion Rolls in my Cosori Duel Blaze they are great. Now if you use Broil function it turns off the lower cooking elliment so you only use the top .

Kerry great video Broil is the USA version of a grill toaster function great if you want to brown toppings ie cottage pie melted cheese things like that

Folks have to forget air "fryer" and think convection oven. Ask yourself, do you normally cook these on a rack in the regular oven? Do you flip these when cooking in a normal oven? If not take the crisper plate out and cook directly on air fry on the bottom of the basket. Or if you flip them in normal oven, then flip them here, although not necessary. Much better results.
Broiling uses only the upper heating element in your oven, applying high temps to the top of dishes for fast flavor. Use this method to cook and crisp delicate foods or brown the top of already-cooked dishes. Most broil settings use temps between 500 and 550° F, so keep a close eye on cooking progress.... I googled because i did'nt know fully lol
I have the dual blaze bought it at Christmas, I love it and have never used my big oven since. I also have a ninja but it’s nowhere near as good as the cosori
The cosori is fab I really do love it💕 but do love my ninja too lol, the 2 baskets are great but now I've got 4 what with the ninja 11n1, tbh love even more not using the big beastie of an oven😄👍

How cost effective is having all these air fryers? Compared to the oven? And how much time is saved. I guess how long the air fryer lasts and costs versus saved electric. A gas top hob is still cheaper than an electric hob. Just very curious since these air fryers have been around years and are only popular because of the media push on them months ago!
I rarely use all 3 at the same time but using one AF to cook a small amount of sausage rolls must be cheaper than my oven, which has a broken seal and takes an unearthly age to get to temperature 🤷♀️
Looks ok, Should I upgrade from my current Cosori 5.5 litre? One thing I don't like about the one I have is that the basket is integeral with the handle, So there is no crisper tray that can be removed; Makes a difference if I'm cooking a full chicken as sometimes it touches the ellement? 😶. Then again, I'm a single dude, Is it worth the expense? 👍
Hi, just thought I'd jump on and say there is a solution to making the Cosori basket less. My hubby did it for me. If you undo the screws inside the basket that connect to the handle, you can remove the basket and then reconnect the screws again into the handle. I'm now able to take out the inner basket when I want to just use the larger drawer if I'm making a cake ect. I hope I'm explained it well enough so you understand what I mean x
Ah tough question Phil, I didn't know the 5.5ltr has an integral basket - do you mean crisper plate? Crisper plates are so useful esp being able to remove for cleaning
Broil is the American for grill. They don't understand that you can grill from above. They think you have to place items on a 'grill' (like a barbecue) for it to be a grill. On another note, what frame rate (fps) is your camera set to? If it's 60fps, that may be affecting the hz and changing it back to 60.
Philip you've saved the day, I googled how to change the frame rate (at least learn where it was etc) and was able to adjust, so now the lights do not flicker, thanks a mil😀👍💕💕

Ah you are smart Julie😋😀👍 ooo that's a toughie, I think I love the ninja 11n1 for its sear/saute function (not to mention the multitude of other functions) learning to love the probe on the dual, having neglected that function as really do not need it with a chicken but the beef! Whoa and am doing lamb this sunday (1st time in years cannot wait😋) so the probe will come into it's own again. The cosori for roast pots is flippin fantastic and it's a massive basket🥴🥴🥴🥴🤣
Only problem with the app is even though you can set it up with your selection on the app because of UK Health & Safety regulations you have to go to the fryer and press start, may as well just do it on the machine.
i have the cosori 5.5 its really good, but i find the basket a hinderence sometimes, would love to have the option of the crisper tray or not. i also have a uten, its the first one i bought and its built like a tank, very sturdy massive drawer, with crisper tray so i have the best of both really.. its amazing what can be cooked in airfryers whatever the make
100% agree Marion, airfryers whatever the make are great and esp during this cost of living madness, that was my main reason for buying one. Will carry on using AFs even if (hopefully) the CofL crisis ends!! and bills/food prices return to normal 🥴
Would love to see you cook the sausage rolls in the ninja twin draw for comparison...i have 3 ninja's and recently bought the cosori dual blaze and am yet to be convinced...rather ninja biased x

Ooo I read your comment Audrey then I had to go away and give it some real thought - sooo it would have to be the ninja dual for the two drawers because I can cook complete meals, stuff that cannot be cooked together - like roast dinners. For 5 months I've cooked a full roast for 5 using just the ninja dual (obv the veg is boiling on the hob) as well as other meals for the family on a daily basis😀👍👍saying that I'm really really glad I've got the cosori and the 11n1, it is making life a lot easier esp now I'm down to one hob
@@budgetcookinguk Thanks for that Kerry, I have the smaller cosori but the black coating in the basket is wearing of, so not so keen to use it even with liners. I am going to buy the ninja speedy and I am waiting for the ninja Af451 to come back in stock, hopefully that will be soon. I tend to make a lot of curries, so that is on my hob and I make my own pakora (potato,spinach and onion in a spicy chickpea batter) and other Indian food from scratch, but now that I am no longer vegan I have really enjoyed using the air fryer. Now that you said the ninja duo is so useful that’s what I will go for 😃
Iv got this new cosori same one as I’m moving into a very large kitchen ( at last ) and will have 6 hungry grandchildren living close by iv downloaded the app but not used it yet. I move on Tuesday can not wait to use it

My own parents were miles away from my kids too. Have vowed that whatever happens I'm going to be around the corner when my kids have kids and be that daily presence. Grandparents and grandkids have a special bond plus it's great being able to hand them back lol
Broil is like a grill but it heats from the top instead of the bottom. Imagine using a bbq. The heat comes from the bottom. With "grill" the heat comes from the top.

You need the cosori/vesync app open on your mobile and hold down the AF power button for 5 seconds, it prompts the app to search for wifi, you then pop your pw in. Once in, you can check your AF progress while cooking, althou I'm never too far away for this to be useful. App does have a lot of recipes too, not yet checked them out fully 😀👍spend my evenings watching youtube😄
@@dack6528 oh yes as a safety feature you cannot turn it on remotely, they cook so quickly that the likelihood you'll be in the east wing while food is cooking, to check via the app is a bit unlikely but the app while a bit of a gimmick has recipes and the ability to save your own - some people like to do that😄👍

Hi Kerry this is the one I spoke to you about that I have, had it from 13th of Dec and love it, this off google "to cook by direct exposure to radiant heat : grill. broil the steak in the oven at 450ƍF. intransitive verb. : to be subjected to great or oppressive heat. broiling in the sun" it's mainly an american term when used in cooking, if you had put on bake it would of done the bottom as well
