Soft close door acuator breaks the same way . I fixed mine by JB weld epoxey around the whole seem. Then put a hose back on the part and blew air into the part while I held it under water to make sure it wasnt leaking. Has lasted 5 yrs now.
Truly spectacular and lots of hardwork and patience 🙏 MWM has all the energy and drive that took the challenge without doubts....a good educational vblog that will help us to do something...Good work 😀
Mercedes are way too complicated, but yes they are fun to drive. Lola reminds me of a song. I'm sure you will recognize the lyric "Her name was Lola. She was a show girl." She's always looking for the spotlight lol. My dog is the same way when I'm working on something. I wouldn't have it any other way.
I loved the thumbnail got me so food😂! Thanks for walking it through step by step not to me but for others! You do such a great job Walking through everything!
Wow! At $30-$40, you got off easier than I did. My E350 had the automatic locks that locked when the car hit 17 KMH and unlocked when you put the car in park. When that crapped out, it cost me a bit over $300. for the part and to replace it meant drilling out rivets and then you got to manipulate the old one out and the new one in (sort of like squeezing a dime through the eye of a needle). About as much fun as beating one's head against a concrete wall. 🙄🤬🙄🤨
Why is Mike addicted to Benzes? is it because: A) He is a glutton for punishment? B) He likes to bleed and get bruised? C) He thinks Mercedes is the only car brand in existence? D) He is coo-coo? E)Or, all the above?
Mike, were you also aware that on the W140 chassis cars, the remote control will also open or close all of the windows and the sunroof if you push it and hold the fob button within about 24 inches from the door itself.
I’m kind of having the same issue in my Buick, but instead the front doors not unlocking, it’s the back doors. But instead of using vacuum actuators, it’s electrical actuators.
Mike you should select the 1995 F150 from Randy. I'm sure the shift and column issues are easy-cheap fixes. That's my vote. Great job on diagnosing the no unlock issue with the door lock actuator. I think MB is the last carmaker to use vacuum to operate door locks.
I replaced the vacume actuator on my left rear door on my 01 e320, and a year later, it quit working, so I have not replaced it. The window regulator broke on that door also so I replaced it and now it is broken again. I have a piece of wood holding the window up, and I said the heck with it. My doors lock when I start moving the car, but the drivers door will unlock when I pull the handle on the inside. I have also had to replace the hook on the inside of the doorcard that pins into the inside handle. These things are a pain in the butt but I love driving it, so just put up with it. I buy all my parts from FCPEuro, but you have to buy a new one if a part breaks and then ask for your money back on the broken part. Why does your vacuum actuator have both a vacuum line and an electrical plug? Mine only has a vacuum line.
Hey mike Your windows should roll down if you put the key in the driver door and turn and hold it for a few seconds they will roll down and your sun roof should also my Volkswagen and my Nissan altima did it let me know k
Hey Mike, I think we may need a fleet update. I know the two S’s, dads mg, Janice, and the car by Randy.. but you have a second up there as well right ??
You do realize when the dogs hear you talking they think you are talking to them right!?!?!?! Does it have the option to roll the windows up/down with the key in the door?
