116k is good amount for decent lifestyle.. Cannot comment on 2.5k savings as it depends on person to person..

The answer is NO If you are moving to LA or Bay Area. Northern California is much better option if you are luck enough to get a job there with a 116k salary.

Not a financial advise, but it totally depends on one’s lifestyle. if you have a minimal lifestyle then salary should be approx 120-130k to save 3k a month..

California is expensive. Also it depends on which city you are visiting... if you are going to stay in bay area or socal it will be more expensive..

Apologies for the delayed response: It depends on the college/university and area you live in.being a student you can work 20 hours per week to cover some of your expenses.
