I visited Iloilo City recently and was blown away by its progress. It’s so cosmopolitan and modern and super clean. In fact, one of the cleanest and greenest placesI have visited in the PH. It’s so liveable and plenty of space unlike other cities that are crammed and polluted with unbelievable traffic. Iloilo is such a breath of fresh air. Plus if you want nature and beaches, the beautiful Guimaras island is so nearby. I can definitely see myself living in this gem of a paradise. Love, love Iloilo!❤
It is very underrated because Ilonggos are just minority in the Philippines. Even Some Filipinos do not even know how progressive Western Visayas. Western Visayas have the least poverty rate, High Development Index, Safe to Typhoons and earthquake.
This video was awesome and timely because I've been hearing the Ilolo name a lot... but not much actual info on it, so this really helped. Especially the pictures!!
The downside of Iloilo is the lack of electricity. I stayed there from year 2007 until January this year. Not a month or two that they don't get a blackout. I used to work as Barista for 3 different company. It hurts their business if it gets blackout from time to time. The blackout sometimes went from 5-6 hours and I lost count on how many 12 hours of blackout I experienced 🤷
I really appreciate the topics you discuss. Just an advice, can you speak a little slower and enunciate your words more clearly. It will help a lot in connecting to your audience.
You mentioned Globe and then you showed a phone connection toSmart, your text said $1500, but you said 150,000 pesos. I think that you need an editor. No offense meant but you need continuity.
Ours (WV Towers)only has backup power for common areas not the individual units, I sincerely doubt any of them have the capacity to supply electricity to all units. I have a solar backup system for our condo.
@@johnclark7973 We just picked up the place this year and we currently just use it for vacations. While we were there in January we did not have any brown outs.
Sooner or later the cost of living in Iloilo will soar as more and more foreigners are visiting and staying in the city. The average Ilonggo may suffer the consequence soon. This happened in Italy and Thailand.
Is there a professional symphony orchestra in Iloilo. I'm currently in Salawag Dasmarinas so I can be near the symphony and jazz clubs. Are there any jazz clubs in Iloilo?
jsut do a research. if you love beaches and girls well not the Iloilo for you. if you want safety, clean walkable, less traffic etc...Iloilo is for you. 😂
Add travel medical insurance because yours from your country probably not work. Just something to think about. You have to pay to get OUT the hospital not in.
Hey, if you will do an episode on US$3000 in Cebu If you would please cause actually I have 3200 a month for life and I’m coming over there in about a year and a half this year. I’m coming over there for three weeks to visit if you would do that I would really appreciate it. Thank you buddy.
@@apinezstats2237 Thank you my good friend I just wished I could leave now. I do not know anybody over there, so I’m coming over there blind again thank you.
@@williamculbreath5443 Dumaguete, Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao are good retirement options. These cities are only a few kilometers away from famous beaches and tourist destinations, but if you want to retain your western lifestyle, I suggest you find a place somewhere in Clark (Pampanga Province) or BGC (Metro Manila) both of which are landlocked.
Retired people need health insurance ! - - - Old people aren't cheap to cover either !!! -- Especially if they have any pre-existing conditions ? -- Another almost $200 / month may be needed just for that. Risks of not being treated unless you can pay cash in advance is very real there at their Hospitals ! They will let you die - if - you can't pay 1st - even with Insurance !!!!!!!!! - - - I would hate for anyone to find this out the hard way.
Grab private car is not available in Iloilo City. An influential taxi operator has managed to block Grab from operating the service. Iloilo is one of the oldest cities in the Philippines thus its roads are narrow and traffic is very bad. Take a look instead at Bacolod City just across the straight. It's a newer city with much wider roads, lesser rent with the same modern facilities. And yes, Grab private car is available.
Lol Iloilo has grab and for your information Iloilo city is more modern than Bacolod and it has more wider roads and it's more safe city than anywhere else in Visayas
Really? Bacolod is cheaper when it comes to standard of living but when it comes to progress, no traffick and safety measures. I'll go for Iloilo City. 10x much cleaner than Bacolod sa True lang Po tayo
